I don’t believe in cleaning routines, they’re a waste of time and cause anxiety when you can’t get things done. Being semi-retired now, I just do what I feel needs to be done. My son is living back at home with us so I get him to do the shower and oven because I have buggered my back from working in the business. My mother-in-law does diamond art, she loves it. We sent a pic of our Labrador Louie to some company online who converted it into a diamond art canvas and we gave it to her for Christmas. It’s pretty fantastic actually. When you replied to me that it wouldn’t matter if your daughter had better furniture for storage I called bs. I’m glad to see you admit real furniture will make a difference for storage.

I see a lot of myself and my own organization "struggles" in your daughter's room; I've been switching things up, so maybe some of those would help your daughter, too, and, as an extra little bonus, make your cleaning her room easier :) 1) I noticed that she is making certain piles; like for example, most of the empty plastic bags and bottles were in one space, clothes were condensed to that particular area, etc. When she says that she has nowhere to put her things, it could be because it's not in the areas, she would need it in (those spaces where clutter accumulates). Laundry hampers are a great idea, for both dirty and clean. And just tons of bins and baskets! 2) For me personally, it has to be fun, too. For example, baskets in colours that I like, decorating my things with stickers (on the hampers for example). But that is something she does by herself, while she's finding out her own decorating style and just by going through life :3 4) What I really encourage you to do is working with her for this and helping her figure out how her space needs to be put together in order to work for her. Not everyone organizes the same way, some need certain possessions in sight or on display, others want everything to be hidden away in boxes for a clean, and more minimalistic look :) And both are absolutely valid! Maybe this helps! I really loved your video :) You seem like a kind, warm and lovely person to be around, and the way you narrated this video was very calming to listen to. Also, super motivational to also do some cleaning myself today! <3 Thank you!

I find if you keep the daily clean up going it becomes easier My son was tidy in his room but not my girls. Diatomaceous earth get some sprinkle on carpet mattress you can even sprinkle it on the animals they can eat it. It kills fleas and stuff I had a problem with silver fish it sorted it out. I wouldn't put it near your spiders but it's all natural so in the bedroom or rooms where there are no spiders should be fine. Look into it.. 😊

Hi Raquel, great vlog, you’re doing a great job love. I really like the green wall in your dining room but I get it, it’s time for a change. Ughh! the 3 o’clock battery run down which I call stupid o’clock & eat chocolate. I’ve found it so bad that I have to prepare dinner around lunch time or its freezer food as 5pm dinner prep is a nightmare, I just don’t have the energy. Thankfully hubby 9/10 times cooks and I manage to get the veges on the stove and that’s it. He’s a great help & loads the dishwasher and I wipe down the kitchen and sweep if need be but that’s it for me. I’m gradually tossing things that may be damaged or just tat I’ve kept for who knows what reason, especially things I have 2 of. I have 2 boxes for this stuff, 1 for marketplace and 1 for the tip. It’s a good feeling getting it out😊 Looking forward to seeing your renovations, you do you lovely, it’s nobody’s business what colour you choose! it’s an exciting time! Woody’s such a beautiful boy, he has to be around his mumma ❤😊 P.s. I don’t watch those so called “cleaning vlogs” where they’re supposedly cleaning a dirty house - NOT! it’s as though they’ve cleaned before filming 🙄 the majority of us don’t live in those instagram show homes and appreciate the real stuff 😉 xo
