My dad bought me a Garcia Mitchel 408 ultra light reel in 1964. Made in France with brass gears. I still use it today. Still works great. Why buy a new one?

I have owned the CR1009 radio, and my biggest complaint is the rechargeable battery would not hold a charge which is not good for an emergency radio.
