Yeah there should be a limiter/compressor at some point. An overdrive wouldn't be too bad either. Hopefully hey will add one of these in a future update.

I tried it and felt like it was still in beta testing. Lots of glitches. Synths shouldn't be released half baked i sent mine back after it crashed completely on me

With the new firmware some bugs where ironed out. No more crackling when delay is synced to incoming midi clock via usb or midi ports. But it is still early days, I agree. I decided to keep it as it has a lot of potential. Rebuy it when it's on firmware 1.5 :-D

mine is worse at high levels on the mixer. i get crackles, pops, and the sounds cutting out. lowering the levels in the mixer helped a lot.

Thanks for the tip. I am still experimenting which settings are best. Mixer input / Synth main volume / Synths mixer page ... Too many parameters t.b.h. Still have no idea how all the gear tubers did not talk about this issue. Everything sounds fine in their setup, so may be it's a user error.

@@buddingsignal just change your key velocity it's set at 100% by default, after I did that the clipping was gone and it sounds great. Just remember it's like mixing three keyboards together and you can clip if you put too much signal into your mix guys.

After experimenting with some velocity settings (specifically, fixed velocity), it feels a little better. I suppose it's a learning curve. It's still easy to overshoot the volume when not using fixed velocity. I hope they fine-tune the pad responsiveness to velocity and other parameters in future updates. I'll keep it for now, as it's fun to use.

I love it and have had it since it came out. Volume and Mixer is fine to me. What I do notice is that you have a hard panned on the purple synth. So if you're not in stereo then panning it will make it lose volume. Make sure all of those are set for "C" center if you're in mono.

Hey! Thanks for your input! I'll definitely check the volume and panning more carefully. Some aspects of the synth still feel underdeveloped to me, particularly the Mixer Page for the synths. On my unit, the volume control seems to be too linear - the first two-thirds of the range barely affect the volume, even on headphones, while the last third makes the difference. The main volume knob also has a very narrow range between silence and noticeable distortion, which makes fine-tuning difficult. Hopefully, a future update can address this. I’m planning to submit a bug report/feature request on Polyend Backstage regarding these issues. In the video, I had to significantly boost the purple synth as it was extremely quiet. Regarding gain staging, I’m also unsure if this is the most intuitive setup. Adjusting the synth parameters beyond the macro controls can lead to unexpectedly loud peaks. It would be great if Polyend could implement a per-channel limiter, similar to what they’ve done on the Polyend Play. Thanks again for the helpful feedback! 😊

Panning may affect volume but it should be easy to adjust

Have you tried, for troubleshooting the source of this issue, disabling velocity sensitivity of the pads... basically set them at fixed velocity? If you do that, does the problem persist?
@SPEAKERNOISE

No, I haven't tried that yet, but I'll definitely test it the next time I’m working with the device. Disabling velocity sensitivity and setting the pads to a fixed velocity sounds like a great troubleshooting step. If I remember correctly, the Pad Velocity was set to 127 on my unit, but I’m unsure whether this setting was applied globally or just for the current scene. Thanks a lot for the tip!
