Just found your channel and subscribed. Had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder July 25th so that stopped the riding for awhile. Hope to get some late September rides in! Thoroughly enjoyed this video, reminds me of riding here in South Dakota. Stay safe out there.

No I didnt. I will have to go check it out. I am willing to give it another shot. My other pairs are my favorite gloves. I don't know if it is worth losing money to try them out, though. I am excited to see what they fixed, though.
@nyinfamous2k26 ай бұрын
Took a shot in the dark that maybe they fixed it by now and order this exact pair. NOPE , thing and pointer finger ridiculously long and makes the holes unusable. Their customer service I have to say is very good though, they quickly got back to me and were good enough to offer a free exchange. I think I might go with the originals, this time , hopefully they didnt mess with that recipe. Also as far as the "exchange" im not going the way they want me to , I dont want to wait for them to get them and then send out the new ones. So im just going to order the new ones now, and go with the refund option that they offered, they did offer to wave the return fee for the refund option, so to me it was a no brainer.
@whomemoto6 ай бұрын
That is where I was stuck! I already had their other gloves, so I had to get a refund, which was not full. I hope that they fix the issue. I love the color of the wax gloves!
@nyinfamous2k26 ай бұрын
@whomemoto funny as I was just reading your reply I got an alert that the new pair was just sent out. Hopefully the OG style doesn't have the same issues as the heavy hitters. I agree the weathered brown is a cool style. I used to make my own with those cheap yellow leather work gloves. Surprisingly the leather on some of them was decent. I would wash them in hot water ringing them out over n over to get all the yellow dye out. Then either let them dry out in the sun or better yet go for a ride so they dry on your hand and mold to your hand. When you do it that way they dry to like a second skin kind of mold. Makes for a great fit. Then after they're dry I hit them with a little bit of leather oil which darkened them up to that same heavy hitters weather brown leather look. For 10$ or so a pair and a little work , you can't beat them for qick easy gloves.
@whomemoto6 ай бұрын
@@nyinfamous2k2 I hope the new pair is nice, let me know. I might try that with a pair of roper style gloves. I am sure you make it sound easy though ha ha.

I also fell into the KZbin motorcycle crash rabbit hole recently while trying to recover from a surgery in December. I never realized the amount of people who think that they are totally not at fault just because they are on a motorized bike. I've crashed a bunch and had some near misses and the majority of the time it has always been my fault. occasionally you have instances where you were just sitting there and someone nearly wrecks you but shit man some of these people be blaming cars even though they be riding over 150mph in a 35mph zone.

Thanks for this. I use Icon Pursuits now and wanted to see a video with those wax brown Heavy Hitters. I’ll pass…. not impressed with those longer fingers. Nobody carries stock on this shit anymore. A guy has to order online, wait for 2 weeks and hope they fit or you’re sending them back and waiting 2 more weeks. These retail stores whining about losing business to online vendors have brought it on themselves. If I were a storefront selling motorcycles and gear…. I’d be on the forums and KZbin and bringing in the top 5 most-mentioned models of gloves/gear.

It really sucks because my other heavy hitters are great with the features. I use the finger opening every ride. We are blessed with the ability to order anything we want now online but it sucks having to wait and getting ripped off by not having the chance to see items in person.

Wish I would’ve saw your video last week. I just got mine in this Saturday. My first time purchasing these gloves, what cut my eye like you said is the magnet and exposure. I always get extra large gloves. These are also extra large, they’re not super tight but they are definitely snug. Maybe they will loosen after breaking them in. What is your experience on that? My left glove my finger barely comes out, useless. my right hand fingers come out a little more but nothing like your first gloves. I send them an email and got a email from them saying they’ll be back on Wednesday but after seeing your experience, don’t think it’s worse it senting them back and losing out money like you said just to try them on…🤦🏻♂️
@whomemoto8 ай бұрын
Oh man, it sounds like yours doesn't have the best finger-cut location either! Both of my older generations were snug but loosened up or shaped to me after-wear. They fit amazing now. In this new generation, the leather feels a little harder and is not as good quality, but it should shape your hand more after wear. I think I should have sent an email first before just returning them; they might have refunded me fully. The internet is so much easier to order things, but it hurts so bad when they end up like this!

I’m glad I saw your video. I was just about to pull the trigger on the exact same wax brown ones. I measured my hands and the chart says I’m Large. I’ve never worn large gloves in my life. I hope you don't either. I think who ever they have making their gloves is really doing poor quality control. I should have known better after one of the heavy hitters just fell apart, but all the leather ones I have from them previously have been great.

I just opened my heavy hitters a few minutes ago. I followed their size guide and they mostly fit fine except the glove thumb, like yours, extends an inch past the end of my thumb. It's literally longer than the middle finger. I don't know about you, but my thumb is not longer than my middle finger. In any case I went to return them as I don't trust their sizing, and they want $20 to return them. So if I return them, I paid $30 (shipping here and back) to try them on only to find out the thumb doesn't fit. Mine were the Baja version.
@whomemoto9 ай бұрын
I can't even express how upset I am with their return process. It costs money for their flawed product. I was really hopeful about this pair, too. I have had bad experiences with their quality, and I am not sure how others speak so highly of their products, to be honest. It sucks you fell in the same boat as me and ended up losing money on this.
@theeddielyle9 ай бұрын
I emailed them asking to reduce the amount they charged for the return. We'll see what they say. If they tell me to pound sand, I will likely keep them and modify them. I'll be sure to post a review video as well, not to mention blast all my motorcycle groups. I'll post on their social media comments as well. I've had such good customer service with online retailers over the past 25 years that their policy really shocked me. I've never heard of having to pay a company to use their shipping method to return their poorly designed product. And to be charged 2x as much as they charged me to send them in the first place. Thanks for the video. I take shallow comfort knowing I am not alone. I guess misery loves company.
@JohnHendrix19 ай бұрын
I was in between a L and XL on their chart so I went with the XL and then when I received them, the fingers were too long and I had to return them for an exchange for a size Large instead. Maybe they’ve changed their procedure, or they handle refunds different than exchanges, but the process was super easy on their website and was zero cost to me. I just printed a label and dropped them off at the post office. They also gave me a $20.00 credit on top of the free return! So, I ordered my new gloves and a t-shirt as well. My experience was that their return process and credit was exceptional! I would agree that the fingers are too long, especially the pinky finger. So, don’t go up a size. Measure your hand and go exactly by their size chart. Don’t go up a size.
@whomemoto9 ай бұрын
Their exchanges are very easy. I didn't need any other gloves, and I was trying to get the newest heavy hitters. It sucks their quality went downhill. I had received heavy hitters in the non-leather in the past that were falling apart after one ride, and they were easy to work with in getting an exchange, and I also got the credit. I hope your new pair comes in great. My other heavy hitters are my favorite gloves of all time. @@JohnHendrix1
@theeddielyle9 ай бұрын
@@JohnHendrix1 I followed their chart explicitly. The fingers and palm all fit. The thumb is comically long, like it was made for ET. Last night I pulled out 6-7 other pairs of gloves, some motorcycle, others work, they all fit my thumb perfectly. If I went down a size, I wouldn't be able to get my hand into them. Their return policy is deliberately designed to get people not to choose a refund. They offered me $20 in store credit to exchange. But if their glove thumbs are all as bad as mine and the video shows, then the exchange would be pointless.
