Going to kuredu in second february 2023 big fan of fishing can you please tell me more about this trip how much does it cost do you bring your equipment your lures or do you rent everything how long is the trip and a lot of other quiestions?
@aanomad2 жыл бұрын
You have to ask fishing from the Kuredu resort management. They will make you an offer of an fishing charter. Usually they have rods, lures etc, but you can also bring your own. Note that it is prohibited to fish from the shores of Kuredu island. There are different kind of charters: Offshore trolling with a group, casting from a small boat, etc. I think they have the rates on their Kuredu island website for these different charters.

You guys need to work on your strip sets.
@aanomad2 жыл бұрын
Are you referring to the strip set I have on my hips (seen at 3.20 and later with the tarpon fight). It is a danish design (nowadays the brand name is Ahrex Flexi-stripper), originally for fly fishing Baltic sea trout from the shore as you wade and water level is 2+ feet. It is the best ever design to keep your line not getting messed up. Also for saltwater fly fishing from a skiff. Never fly fish without it.

very relaxing video. Also shows that Bamboo is not that delicate of a material to fight and land those salmon.

cool video 👍can you show bank fly cast with the "bushes" on the back
@aanomad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! However, not much to show when it comes to spay or roll cast etc. 99 % of my fly fishing is 1) pike from a boat, 2) seatrout from an open shore or 3) saltwater on a boat or an open flat. ;)

I was stationed in Japan with the USAF for eight wonderful years back in the 1960s. I fished often in both Okutama and the Akigawa Gorge. The fishing was good and a young lady at Akigawa would cheerfully cook a fish for you shioyaki style. Wonderful memories.

AA Nomad, could have been Okutama, which is between Tokyo and Fuji-san, however, there are a lot of rivers between the two. I’ll be back in Japan for an exclusive fishing visit next year. I will probably contact this guide. My friend who I used to fish with moved away from Tokyo, so I’ve no one to follow.
