This is the actual film, scanned open gate including the perforation and sides of the film itself. Nothing has been added to it.

@@kacofilms_weddings So frankly there are one or more problems: the film is crap, the development is crap or your scanning method is crap. The Leicina is a high-end super 8 camera of the same quality as a Nizo with super optics.

Hi, sorry for my late reply I have only seen your comment now. I've been experimenting with few cameras lately -- couple of last videos are shot with Canon c70 in 4K raw and the latest clip has been shot with 2x Nikon Z9 in 8K n-raw.

@@snydereric6852It's common sense. if that was the case all films would be shown with the sprockets and gaps between frames. Find me any projector that projects the sprockets and gaps between frames. If you're just trying to boast that you shot on film then just say that. But, all you're doing is copying what everyone else is doing.

@@wheels2fun526 ​ I'm so sorry for you to be so grumpy and narrow minded. again, it might not be your taste, but there is no rule saying you can't show gaps between frames ; this is actually often used in music clip and fashion videos and even if it has never been done before, it's called 'artistic choice' ; you should google it or open a dictionary, you might become smarter. @@snydereric6852It isn't an artistic choice. It's just copying a bad idea from people that know nothing about filmmaking. I've worked mostly with 16mm film for the past 30 years, Anyone in the film industry would tell you. That you are not getting the best out of what film can offer. You say there is not rule? Then find me one model of either 35mm, 16mm, 8mm or Super 8 projector that was manufactured where the gaps between frames and the sprockets are shown? I'm not mentioning taste. I'm referring to how the format should look and how it is suppose to look. Just like the lack of colour correction in this clip.

Once you say it should not be done, and then you say it's just copying bad idea ; so it has been done before... buy many people... maybe there is a reason ; and you can argue as much as you want, you won't stop people from doing it ; and they are not killing anybody so chill out. It's not a question about working with 16mm or not (lucky you I have to admit ;) ) ; it's not about the industry ; i'm sure this style effect has been used in many feature films too (natural born killers, some spielberg movies with super8mm cameras etc), again, it's about an artistic choice, about frame ; just liking picking this lens over this one. Of course projectors where not made to screen like this, but it's doesn't say that it should not be done either ; and when those projectors where made, it was a long time ago ; you need to get to the page, it's 2024 ; people are re inventing stuff, making new with old gear ; you should just be happy someone is still using film ; if all the people using film didn't use it the way you like or the way it was supposed to be used, we would have maybe 50% less footage. I'm glad i can watch this on youtube. I prefer this than some video about 8k new sony camera. But if I follow the rules you are talking about, and put that into about cars' tuning, people should not be allowed to change stuff the way they would like to. So yes there were rules at that time about those cameras and films, but that time is gone ; you can't stick with dinosaures old crap. And yes you are mentioning taste, and you are allowed, when when you say lack of color correction, the director or colorgrader made it to his taste. I don't know why you keep fighting and not understand that things have changed and unless you want to see the world the way you want to see it, you need to open up a little bit ; you seem like a nice guy, so no hard feelings, cheers mate
