I I’m so happy I stumbled across this video. I’ve been planning on moving to Africa for about two years now I’ve done a lot of research. I’m really curious to hear your story of what made you want to relocate there. And are you able to live there and still earn US currency.

I want to check out Gambia and stay there for a month t see how it feels for me and my family. Do you have ny tips were to start, which places to rent?
@summersinafrica12 күн бұрын
If you have never been to Gambia before I would recommend booking a short stay in Senegambia area. Since this is the tourist season in Gambia property owners are charging the highest rates on short-term stay properties. If Senegambia doesn't work for you then try bijillo, kotu, or brusubi areas. Those areas would make it easy to get to popular stores, malls, etc using local transportation and taxis. Be sure to ask about security that's available for the property and proximity to the main road. Hope this helps.

Hi. I have a question. Am going gambia to see my wife. Is 700 dollars enough for 6 weeks in the gambia. House rent already paid
@summersinafrica12 күн бұрын
Hello, I personally would not travel internationally without at least $2K . Unless it's a true emergency. I don't know your circumstances, but $700 can go very fast if you're not used to a Gambian lifestyle of low expenses.

Hi my sister how can I get your WhatsApp number I need your help
Telling people what is happening step by step is extremely helpful for people whose anxiety is triggered by fear of the unknown, so big props to that dentist. A lot of other dental and medical professionals expect people to suck it up and get over themselves.

Salam, sister! After some recent events in my home country and other factors, I am more seriously planning my escape to a new country (preferably Africa for ancestral healing). While I have chosen which African country I plan to move to, I am concerned about my husband. I am in an interracial marriage and want to know how non-Black people are treated in Gambia and other African countries. I want to be in a safer environment, but I do not want my husband to be unsafe.
@summersinafrica16 күн бұрын
Walaykumsalam sister, There are so many non blacks here in Gambia. It’s a safe place for people of all colors and cultures. I have non blacks (white caucasians) in my family through marriage, and they love it here. Gambia is very welcoming to all.

Are you talking about….. in….. in regard to the pizza (I know you probably won’t say)? I don’t really like their food if that’s where you’re talking about. Anytime I visit The Gambia, I really try to avoid that place. When you eat there, the servers just stand there talking to each other while staring at you. 🤣🤣 I hope you didn’t eat the new pizza the server brought out… once we go bank and forth with each other, I won’t trust you with my food.

As salaamu alaykum sis, great emotional segment. Well What I really want to know is how to stay permanently in The Gambia, once your visa expires. Secondly, I want to know about housing. What the best option for problem free/conflict free living, in particular I am thinking about TAF CITY compared to other living arrangements. Are there any American families or sisters you know living in Taf City?
@summersinafrica20 күн бұрын
Walaykumsalam, hey sis! When you get to the airport they'll ask you how long you plan to stay in the country. They consider tourists will stay up to 90 days. Once you reach 90 days and want to extend your stay you'll be required to get a residency permit. The residency permit allows you to stay in the country permanently. But it expires every 12 months. You would renew it every year and pay related fees. Hope this helps! I personally don't know any sisters who live in Taf city, but I may have the opportunity to share some information from inquires I've made about living there. I'm working on that video 🤲🏾. Inshallah. There are several gated communities that the diaspora move into when they're looking to live a but similarly to how living arrangements are in the western countries. The houses are close together and you rarely see people outside etc. Conflict free living in Gambia would be a stretch 😂❤️. Hope this info helps sis! Thank you for watching as usual!!🥰

As SalamuAlaikum, I just want to say that I don't doubt anything you have said about your experience in Gambia and how well it's turned out for you, I dont doubt the beauty you see and the wonderful impact you and your kids are experiencing, no doubt. I think because of the intention as to why you left U.S, the things you pursued once you got to Gambia...the kind of helpful, spiritual, family oriented content seems all like a guided outcome, perhaps a Riqz that was meant for you..and that is such a beautiful blessing! May Allah protect, provide, increase and allow your challenges to become a source of closeness to Allah. Never forget Allah, so he won't forget you ❤
