I started by loading and flagging also. My career ended when a Navy A-6e Intruder hit my Ag Cat. 4/14/93 I loved it while it lasted!

I live in NW Indiana in a rural farming area "65 miles outside of Chicago" and people fleeing that state like rats from a sinking ship are moving across the border mostly on poor clay farm ground near the state line, but they are bringing the ignorant politics that ruined their state with them! PS we have a 14,000-acre solar farm south of us off the Kankakee River area which is a whole nother level of stupidity!

I clipped a rock on the double track on Beaver Rim August of 23. Luckily only bruised a few ribs and banged up a shoulder. But the next morning i was too sore to endure additional pounding and decided not to continue north. My son and I pulled off and headed home, south to Breckenridge CO. And my brother and nephew continued north to complete the ride. I appreciated your video because I feel it gave an accurate view of the difficulties to be expected on the WY BDR. And also praising God for His creation at the end of your ride.

If you want a good bit of info on a commodity cart air flow. Put a wind meter on each run off mains from tank. Then from towers to each and every row unit. This advice caught attention the king of air seeders. Phli Needham. Air flow is the key to carts working

Leave the ground drive in it. Our newly acquired old Flexicoil 4350 TBT tank has the variable rate , hydraulic drive. In my opinion, this I a step backwards. The old ground drive- mechanical was spot on accurate just using the charts. The hyd drive is very inaccurate and time consuming to calibrate. And it is not consistent.
@RedEAgАй бұрын
That is frustrating when that happens. This can be the case with the older hydraulic drives. We change a lot of them to a new version and they really work well.
@orvalaltwasser505Ай бұрын
@ Ya , but why complicate the whole feed system when simple is always best. Most people that farm around me that have VR , don’t get into the mapping thing anyway. Just seems like technology for the sake of technology!

A good tip for stubborn springs is just get a torch and light it up nice and hot. It’s easier to put springs in that way.

I was curious about the exapta uniforce. We are looking at putting it on our Deere 1895 to help with hair pinning. Do you think it’s worth the cost?
@RedEAgАй бұрын
Depth control is important, #1 over spacing of the seed per precision planting. Question to answer: will the cost of $500 - $1000 per row improve the yield that much fast enough? It is more forgiving to changing conditions and not having good down force can be very costly in lack of yields. -Matt
