Would you recommend this board for a beginner?
@-ethan-5 ай бұрын
Personally, no. It’s too stiff and switching and connecting turns will be much harder to learn. What I did (and recommend) is to buy a used, cheap, all mountain board with softer flex. Ride it for a few seasons. You’ll learn skills faster, and you’ll know what kind of terrain you really prefer. Then, buy a nice board accordingly. It’s what I did, and I wouldn’t do it any other way.

Man I don’t get how people butter or do half the shit they do. I have a button custom and i love it for carving and just riding but it seems so stiff. Wish I could try different boards within the same day

I actually reached out to the the Canadian artist Alex Fowkes that did the design for this board and he was super cool getting back to me. He said although it's kind of hidden, it actually says "Happy as a pig in pow" which was how Yes marketed this board for in some of their write ups for the board. I own the 24' 154 and have had rode the 23' 151 too. Such a SICK board!

Great. Actually, GREATS!!! Really interested in the Yes Greats. I am 6ft 175lbs and size 11US boots. Ya think 154 or 156 will do it? I already have a Hovercraft 160 for powder and big carving, so the greats will be my all mtn, side hit, cruising and park board. Will be going to BC next week (revy, big white, whistler, sun peaks), and gonna pair the boards with the Orion Bindings from Jones and Bandito Christenson boots from 32. Thanks!

@welcomeboardstore8 ай бұрын
where will you be riding mostly? I would recommend 154. It would be great because it is a naturally wider board so you can ride them a size smaller than your normal boards because they have that surface area where you need it. I am around the same weight range and i ride the 154 and have taken it to Japan and Canada and it shreds.

Hey there, for mostly charging around groomers, buttering and side jumps... Would you recommend the Standard or the Yes Greats? 185cm, 85kg 11 US boot
@welcomeboardstore8 ай бұрын
Hi Paul I believe both models are great for groomers , butters and side hits. You might want to look at a 154 Greats if you're not going to be doing larger pow runs and want a more playful freestyle feeling board. Because Greats is a true twin you can butter around and mix up your butter. Standard has a more directional feel so will be more stable when bombing a hill flat out. 156 in the Standard would be a good size for you. Hope this helps.

Hi Gabrielle Sorry for the delay. Did you get a Standard sorted. 159 would be a great size in the Standard model. Was suggesting you could go as short as 156 but 159 would be perfect. 162 is massing in this board because of the width.
