He came to our school, I never saw him myself, I can't remember why not. I even had a signed poster of him on my bedroom wall (next to Linda Lusardi).

Excellent video, as a proud Northfleetian I'm saddened that its historical significance is over looked, even by the local Borough Council. Indeed it often seems to be a town without a voice.

I remember attending a bike race day at Brands Hatch, maybe Transatlantic Trophy and DT did a wheelie lap of Brands GP circuit. As a kid I was more than impressed 😎

As a child I explored the pit and the connections to other pits leading beyond to Blue Lake and Half Moon lake , where the giant APCM plant was built. with the "India Arms" a Trumans Pub in the middle of it, a listed building I was told. I watched as the Plant was built and the smaller plants along the estuary were closed. At the time it was in the top 3 cement plants in the world and the largest in Europe. The 2 Towers' 370 f high . 6 massive kilns 600 Ft. or so long. You could drive a JCB excavator into them I know because I was in a gang rebricking a section of one in 1974. The plumes could be seen from space . I have a photo from the original "Landsat" images. Totally amazing sunsets mind. I was employed there in 1974 after college A member of the "General and Municipal Workers Union" on the quay side for Clinker export. £0.95p Hr. with Overtime I could accumulate 70 to even 80 paid hrs in a week. between £66 and £76 per week . between £3,400 and £3,900 P.A. Adjusted for inflation today that's £31,146.50 and £35,762.85. That was totally unskilled lowest status on the site just sweeping up. Now today all the industry between Northfleet and Gravesend along the river front gone. I hear it's a retail park. Times they have changed.

Thank you for your informative program. Having driven through Northfleet hundreds of times during my life, I will now drive much slower so I can enjoy its history, especially the factory club, I always wondered what an elegant building was doing there.

This piece of work is too major for the internet! Choreo and dancers were amazing! There's clearly a storyline to this. It's so refreshing to see the integrity of this artform fiercely exemplified in this piece! Bravo! 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 🔥❤
