How much time did it take to get it out and install?
@karnageoffroad11 ай бұрын
Maybe 3 hours total.... it was years ago so I don't really remember

@@karnageoffroad Appreciate your answer. Still a good, informative video. I hope the machine did not give you much more trouble after the repair

@@SweLarisI sold it right after I fixed it :) not worth the hassle.

@@karnageoffroad Yeah i understand. Thanks for the video anyway, i just scrolled by, and the video got me thinking that it did not look too bad to take it out, so i thought i should do it and just check the pinion nut just to get it of my mind. Any gaskets or so that you have to replace while it is out?

The failure I see with these machines is that idiots go pay a lot of money for them, then go beat the heck outta them doing everything you're not supposed to do to them. Here's an idea take $20,000 and get a lighter and burn the money
@karnageoffroad3 жыл бұрын
LOL you might be right... but the product here had a known issue. Don't worry though everyone is putting all their money in Game Stop so you want to have to worry about them breaking Polaris products. HAHHAHAH

My right rear axle had come loose and now I am wondering whether it is just being plugged in or whether there is a component missing to secure it.

Great video. My 2013 rear diff just blew. Wondering where did you buy the replacement parts?
@karnageoffroad4 жыл бұрын
From the dealer.... had to buy a whole new rear diff.

Not sure if you will even see this but can you tell me what your Toyota axles came out of? Thanks
@karnageoffroad6 жыл бұрын
They came out of a 1985 truck. The front diff was modified to work with the CJ spring center, I had to move it more inboard to work.

Karnage Offroad will do for sure. I am building a custom frame for my 47 since it’s really rough. Figured I’d make a fun toy out of it. First time doing something this involved.

Very good job on the video, Thank You. Please contact me @: [email protected] I will send you information that we have compiled on this project. The new diff you installed still has the nylok nut, that has been the root of this issue. I have contacts for a few guys in Canada that have built tools and will help others. The new diff you install needs to be removed and a 7547243 Polaris nut installed and torqued to 250 ft. lbs. Pullerguy Les

Les Hansen thanks for the reply. I was watching your videos prior to doing this job. :) As much as I would love to pull that diff again, it's not my machine. And won't be buying anyone Polaris because of it

I like the Video, That spot where you turn around is exactly where I will need to get to. Are you still running that part of the river? Could I hire you to take me up to that spot in the video and drop me off, then come back a few days later to pick me up? I am planning a trip there on July 28/29 and will need a ride up from Stave Lake. If you can help, Please contact me at 780-380-3354 Thanks.
