I met a couple of surfers from South Carolina arrive on the North Shore (Sunset Beach) arrive and look for a place to stay (on the North Shore). They went back and planned to move their business to the North Shore the next year. And here they are!

I haven't heard this record since a 7th grade school dance (wherever you are, Jennelle, I hope you're well and happy!) about 50 years ago. It goes well with Andy Williams' version, a different take that stands on its own.

Alex was a superb vocalist who in the 70s enjoyed some success with Rain (along with Stephanie De-Sykes, Chas Mills and Simon May). I had the great pleasure of meeting him in the late 80s when he was doing the local club circuit. He was astoundingly good - far better than the club circuit.

I always go back and listen to Kalapana, C&K, etc. It reminds me of how simple life for me was then. 7:03 am 3/12/24
