I don’t own the truck anymore but if I remember correctly I think it would be close but possible without the yeti rack. Of course make sure to measure twice!

Is it dust proof? Can you open with bug screens?
@CampingandTrekking2 ай бұрын
Mine did pretty good against dust. It does have a rubber seal that works well even on backroads. Maybe you could figure it out if you have a big enough bug screen. I have seen some videos of people putting netting on the hatch when it's open.
I just got home with my new MX and can’t get either side window open. The appear to be same as yours. What’s the secret?😳
@CampingandTrekking3 ай бұрын
The side windows were slide style windows. The 2 small hatchback windows don't open, only the door opens. You might have a problem if you can't get them open.

I was there last Sunday. Its beautiful there. That is an awesome video!!! Nicely done!!! I like how the Dinasour tracks are just .08 miles from the start of the trail to the highest point in Oklahoma and the tri point (Oklahoma,New Mexico and Colorado is just under five miles from there. It was nice to see all of that. There are some Dinasour tracks there also that have footprints that are 6 feet by 6 feet in length and width.. That is huge Dinasour. I saw a video of it the other day. I dont know where they are located exactly but i sure would like to see them. That is a very beautiful area and I really like all of the beautiful scenery. The black Mesa is awesome!!!

I don't think you mentioned the size of the rotors (looks like 160mm - the stupid weaker small ones that save the seller about 25 cents). When I try to count the chain-ring it does appear to be 52T (good) and not the stupid 48T (saves a buck for the maker). The suspension throw appears to be small. Otherwise looks OK.
@CampingandTrekking4 ай бұрын
I'll have to look at those specs you talk about. I do agree with the suspension...it has its struggles sometimes. But so far, it's been a good offroad bike...it's been fun...which isn't a high bar to jump!

We drove 835 miles from our home in Indiana. I was crying for traveling too long. And I was at the Galaxy Con with Terry.😢😢😢😢

Thanks for sharing that. For me, it would be over 5500.00 dollars for the Mx shell and walk-in door with minimal options. That’s just ridiculous in my book. The fit and wiring is kind of an embarrassment for the manufacturer. That’s a lot of money to pay for issues like that. One of my biggest concerns was keeping it watertight. Looking at the video that doesn’t appear to be possible. Thanks again for the review. You just convinced me to not buy one of these campers. I’m sorry for your issues with it. You shouldn’t have those problems. A.R.E. Should make it right without hacking the door up.
@CampingandTrekking7 ай бұрын
It stayed water tight for me and I didn't have any water issues. Obviously there were some gaps but I guess I got lucky. The wiring was my main concern but again, never had any big issues even though it looked like crap. I wouldn't be opposed to this type of bed top again if I could ensure that those cosmetic things didn't turn into something worse over time.

Still putting money aside because I like this style of toppers over the traditional style, much easier on my knees instead claiming over the tailgate n other things
