I love how you guys are so real! And admit when each other is at fault! It takes gut. Also you are so strong in the Lord ❤ wowww!! And you are so right! There is no youtube video you can watch when going through this! Oh all the glory to him! Thanks for sharing your testimony so there is finally a video we can watch to learn these things!

Such a sweet couple. I had no idea you could have such a deep abiding relationship with God. My relationship with Him is growing and deepening but your relationship Donna is beyond. Curious my real name is Donna I want what you have with Him Donna. How do you go deeper?? How do I go about making my relationship with Him with God richer and deeper. For instance I don't know the difference between His voice and my voice... I ask ALL the time is that You God??? Thats how I know my relationship with Him is not as deep as yours because Im not sure who is talking to me sometimes. Like one morning God woke me up to workout like I rose up out of a dead sleep. I was running late but still so sleepy and I ask God can you wake me up and I distinctly heard, "I just did!" I started laughing, yes You did. I love Him so so much Thank you for telling your testimony.

Amen we understand the fasting. But when the husband is ready to end the fast, it should end. When we are married in the LORD, the husband is to love his wife as Christ loves the church, and the wife is to submit to her husband in everything as unto the LORD. Make sure the word is involved my friends, and not just “hearing” from Him.

I’m tardy to the party here-this is cautionary tale to work on yourself first. If they courted longer, the described pathology might have presented and provided an opportunity for pastoral (and clinical) intervention. That is our responsibility, and in our aim to be obedient to God, there is biblical wisdom that was missed. Donna initially praying for specific dates/season does not mean that God honored. And, I cannot speak to whether Donna heard from God regarding the new job. We’re helpmates and women can have the gift of prophesy, but that man of God serving feverishly in the ministry did not have this discernment? I trust that the family landed well, but pray that folk watching their journey will see value in the wait.

Donna, are yall still in Atlanta? I need some insight from you on the struggle you had. I have a very similar story. Also your knowledge on the brain. I asked the Lord last night where had I not allowed him to heal me. He said “the brain”. Can you please contact me?

I think your testimony is powerful!I believe God does have Christian counselors that believers should utilize even if we think we are much better it’s still a good idea to remain active with a christian group or counselors that deals with trauma and depression. I’m a firm believer that some individuals deal with supernatural warfare as well as depression all at the same time. I pray you guys continue telling your story ! God bless! 😊

I’m so grateful that God showed me an account at is very similar as my own journey. Even if my perspective still seams to be unique, all that Donna gone through I could understand and recognize like 90%. Though God let me into medications on two different times to get out of the worse. So grateful I was open to that guidance. So I have that perceptive of how some medications for the brain can help the warfare we have to deal with within the mind and body. 🩷 though I haven’t got confirm like that with a doctor with the brain. That confirmation I’ve gotten from within and other physical people a few times. That their mind blown how I can stand up, how I can be so open hearted despite of all that darkness I’ve experienced. Like they feel it’s impossible.

He speaks to me multiple ways. For big, life altering events he gives me dreams/visions of the future while I am asleep. These dreams mostly help me to avoid danger or give me hope when I am extremely stressed out about situations. Next the Lord guides me through the holy Spirit on a daily basis. Learning to hear the voice of God is a little tricky in the beginning but I learned to hear and follow the holy Spirit during the lowest point in my life when I had no idea what to do. The holy Spirit would tell me to do things and I would do it because I didn't know what else to do. I soon came to recognize the voice of God/ holy Spirit anytime he speaks to me. I would highly recommend reading the Bible for yourself so you can learn who God is personally. Some people hear from God when they read the Bible, but he does not talk to me in this manner because I struggle with reading books and falling asleep. But there have been times where I would go to sleep listening to an audio Bible and the holy Spirit would wake me up at specific parts so he could give me messages and write important scriptures/messages on my heart because he knows that I struggle with reading the word. Lastly the Lord will use people to deliver messages to me on rare occasions because he knows that I do not trust random people popping up and saying that they have a message from God but yet I have not heard anything from him on the subject personally. But there have been times where I was struggling to do the things that the Lord told me to do due to having low self confidence and fear. The Lord used people to let me validate my feelings and let me know that I wasn't crazy and I need to go on ahead and do what the holy Spirit told me to do despite being afraid.

He speaks me through His word (important to read the Bible) through dreams and circumstances in my life. Then, about 2-3 times, I heard an audible voice. He usually gives me clues, he knows I love solving puzzles, and it is almost like He plays connect the dots with me.

Dear sister in Christ thank you for sharing that story. I remember going through a sickness that without God I would have perished. He told me in that moment that Jesus took every sickness upon himself and that never to take ownership of something that he didn’t send. So when you say my depression… you are agreeing. That depression does not belong to you. According to 1st Peter 2:24 you were healed ! That’s past tense. Receive your healing. Jesus also said that he died so you can have peace. Sweet sister in Christ I pray the Father go into every area that needs healing and set you free … I plead the blood of Jesus upon you and your family… in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏽

You both did such a great job explaining in detail emotions you were both experiencing. Definitely made me think of past experiences I e been thru that I hadn’t thought of in a long time. My marriage ended in June of 2015 after having moved from Oregon to Memphis, Tennessee in February 1998 and I’d forgotten the shock of my emotions of not being with my family for the 1st time and I was the oldest of 3 kids from my parents being divorced. I didn’t expect to miss my Mom at such a debilitating level. Thanks for sharing your story

Thank you for your transparency and depth on your battle with the depression. I had ‘healed’ a lot over the years but this past year the lord has placed me in an extreme wilderness and all these old wounds came flooding back. I didnt understand. Only recently did I know what was happening and watching your story has explained it even more. Im really sorry you bore so much but thank you dearly for sharing. It just reaffirms what I thought I knew ❤

Living with parents is a blessing fir financial reasons, but that leave and cleave is so important fir marriage. They were trying to adjust to his parents schedule and not one they had created on their own. It’s beautiful to hear how you both have grown.

With all the spirtual warfare, how do you know you two were meant to be together by God? How do you know its not signs that youre incompatible and its a counterfeit relationship?

It would be a full conviction & revelation. God must reveal your spouse to you before ALL hell breaks lose & you go through the FIRE. So you won’t see divorce as an option due to the heavy spiritual warfare. Not only that, he will remind you throughout your whole entire marriage to stay put w/ your spouse. That doesn’t mean you won’t experience a “divine separation”. Just means that your callings are connected to each other/ your marriage.
