A quite unique rendition of this song. The two ladies, a saxophone player influenced by Coltrane and a pianist, are both brilliant. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWbYlJyApdeIj7s&start_radio=1

What language was the vocal in initially? This was a German venue....or gig, so presume it was one of the German dialects? Is jazz or smooth jazz truly that universal language?

sounds like Portuguese - the language of Brazil...

What a lovely band! Excellent bunch of musicians. Wonderful to hear Chuck outside of his 'smoothness' - he's such a good player.

Corrijo: minuto 2:54..

Every reason why the guitar player should have been exemplary.....he was one of the USA's best smooth or light jazz guitar buffs with a 4 decade musical career. Regrettably he passed a few years ago and the smooth jazz genre has never been the same....in a way. He was one of the most prolific recording artists in that format and very well known in the US at least in the jazz circle.....we're talking about Chuck Loeb of course.
