The Laura Ashley#8570 is so sought after. The old ones are so rare. I am so glad you are offering these patterns again. We once felt we would never have these stules.

Well done! I've wanted to make a jumpsuit for a while but was intimidated by the degree of difficulty. This video makes it a very approachable project. Thank you.

8554 is NOT a going to the chapel dress. Most churches require your shoulders are covered. Besides that, it makes her boobs look droopy.

These patterns are all adorable., but they’re not for ladies 60 and Over what about us? We can’t wear these new patterns. We need some different kind of patterns not the young girls because I still like to sew so let’s try to get some different patterns for older ladies. Nice pants suit nice dress I’m not trying to be difficult, but I don’t wanna wear something like off my shoulders.

I agree a lot of minis and not really cut for the older, fuller figure. I think some could be adapted but the only one I might buy is the Vintage pattern 8569. I like the below knee length and the collar's really pretty

True, so our demographic belongs to Butterick. ; ) McCall's has been shifting to the younger set for a few years now, sticking with young models and intro of indie designers like Mimi G & KnowMe lines. The better plan for us with figure variations is to settle on TNT bases and then update with smaller details, a bit of pattern manipulation or through fabric choices. Sometimes you really don't need to reinvent the wheel.

I agree. I'm 50 and feel most of the newer patterns from the Big 4 are too revealing. I wouldn't wear some of these newer styles even if I was in my 20's. I'd love to see some high end, classic sophisticated styles.

@@Freepeter-ui2vf Try Vogue patterns. They tend to be more modest, sophisticated, and in many cases more mature.

Dude….. you don’t explain some of your steps. At all…… Since your interfacing and fabric look the same on the screen, it’s hard to see what you are doing. This video needs to be redone.

I am seriously confused and getting a bit fed up with this pattern. So, here's the thing: in the instructions, specifically parts 10-14, it shows pattern piece 6 being sewn onto the wrong side of the bodice. But then, in the video, you’re pressing the seam open and using the seam allowance as the boning casing. I've tried reading it twice and watching the video multiple times, and it keeps saying 'with WRONG' sides together. If the pattern is correct then pattern piece 6 is hidden and cutting it out of the outer fabric is a complete waste. Yet, at 4:46 in the video, you’re pressing the seams, and it looks like you sewed it with the RIGHT sides together and are using the seam and top stitching for the casing. This is the second pattern from Brandi that I've tried to sew, and both times I've been confused. Also in the pattern photo It shows fabric covering under the opening under the lacing, but there’s no mention of adding a back panel in the instructions. So, the pattern photo and finished product just don't match up. I usually don't write comments or reviews about patterns, but this time, I'm just so frustrated with the ones from this creator.

I’ve made a muslin, and most of the fit is right BUT… I’m finding that lil window is basically a frame for underboob! Trying to figure out if I need to make the elastic tighter, if I need to do a FBA, or if I just need to embrace it and rock it. Are there any quick fixes for this problem?

Hello! I have a question: I printed out the pattern at home and it looks HUGE. I messured the pattern pieces at places of the waistline, shoulders etc, and compared it to the finished garment measurements and it is so much bigger (even minus the seam allowance). I checked the green diamond marking, it is exactly one inch, so I printed ant the right scale! What should I do ? trust the process and cut out a 48? I don't wanna sew a tent..... Does anybody had the same issue?
