Historically inaccurate. Chopins nocturne in C sharp opus 20 was a posthumous nocturne, discovered and published after his death. Therefore unlikely he played it anywhere in public whilst alive

Chopin and Liszt were "frenemies" (friends who were also enemies) who had an uneasy love-hate relationship. They were friendly rivals, as pianists and composers who regarded each other with respect and skepticism. Liszt wholeheartedly admired Chopin and championed his music -- as evidenced in the fact that his pupils regularly performed the repertory. Chopin envied Liszt his physique -- a big, tall, strong guy who enjoyed robust health (who certainly didn't suffer from tuberculosis). He also fumed because Liszt could play Chopin's own compositions better than Chopin himself. :-)

I've wanted to watch the film but not found it. History and context that deserves to be remembered. Wonderful to know that the greatest pianist of all time was friends with the greatest composer for the piano (arguably) of all time.
