This is just AN elevator. This is called a Paternoster And it's extremely rare due to the danger it poses from never stopping. Old people or those with walking impediments could rarely use it

I was on this flight from UK to NY. It was one of my least favorite experiences for 1st class. I would used my miles on a partner program.
