Sensational news stories of crime in SF get thousands of views and tons of comments. But the heart of the issue is displayed in this panel discussion. Jesus said ""Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing" Luke 23:24. Eckhardt Tolle often discusses consciousness and how actions that harm others stem from unconscious thoughts and programming. "Does this mean people are not responsible for what they do? It is true they are not responsible for what they do, but they will have to suffer the consequences of their unconsciousness. We humans are meant to become more conscious here. And one of the ways, perhaps the main way a very unconscious human evolves, eventually, or potentially, is by suffering the consequences of their unconsciousness." KZbin Video, The Rubin Report "How Mindfulness Can Bring Balance to Your World 44 minutes into the video. The preceding statement addresses individuals who primarily concentrate on the inequities and injustices faced by criminals. People like Pamela Price, George Gascon, Chesa Boudin and their supporters. Nonetheless, it is essential to acknowledge that public safety, justice for victims, and the well-being/morale of district attorneys (including all the deputy DAs), police officers, and everyone within these communities are also vital factors that warrant imposing consequences for criminal actions. Luckily, San Francisco now has hope with Brooke Jenkins, who comprehends the significance of all these aspects, including the potential for increased awareness and personal growth that some individuals may experience during their time in prison. Please pray for the people, including those committing the crimes, of Los Angeles and Alameda Counties.

DA Brooke Jenkins' detailed and experienced answers staring at 1:02 are a direct rebuke of Gascon's response. Gascon does not look at what is fair to the victims of crime, nor what is fair to the criminals. In fact, Gascon appears completely unaware of victims and is solely focussed on those who commit crimes. Not mentioned was the future victims of crime resulting from blanket prosectution bans, reduced sentencing for violent crimes, and an ultimate lack of concern for public safety. DA Brooke Jenkins did an great job telling her personal stories as a prosecutor about the victims of crimes as well as those who thanked her after realizing, only after serving time in prison, that what they did and how they were thinking was wrong and harmed others.

A direct quote ‘. . . those courses - contracts, civil procedure, et cetera . . . didn’t help me get to where I wanted to be; but, they helped me pass the bar’. If your goal is to become a Public Defender; and, in order to become a public defender, you have to pass the bar, (and those classes helped you pass the bar) then how can you conclude that these courses didn’t help you get to where you wanted to be?

So, basically, nothing at all about the evidence in the case. Neither put to her nor answered by her. I cannot understand how a professor (of law, presumably) would not, before embarking on such a drooling and fawning interview with Amanda, want to look into that. How did he explain that to his 350, or so, law students at the college? I invite his students to do so. There is an algorithm on this site blocking any link to my book on the evidence but if you go to the Amanda Knox BBC Documentary UTube you can find links in the comments. Choose the latest. I welcome an open and honest debate with the professor's students.

Knox is a proven liar. Other than in her "Confession" she has always maintained, and still does to this day, that she was not at the cottage when the murder occurred. However, in addition to her confession there is other evidence that she was there. For example Meredith's DNA on the blade of Sollecito's knife, and his DNA on Meredith's bra clasp beneath Meredith's body. A staged burglary. Also Knox's lamp on the floor of Meredith's bedroom behind the locked door. The likelihood of Sollecito being involved, without Knox, is miniscule. Barely mentioned, but highly significant is this other evidence. In her e-mail and trial testimony Knox said there was no blood in the small bathroom when she used it the day before the discovery of the murder. However she also said that during her alleged shower at the cottage the next day, just before the discovery of the murder, she noticed blood on the washbasin faucet that was hardly likely to be hers because of the amount and because it was “caked” on. Well. In fact, it was her blood as DNA analysis was to prove. Blood that must have been deposited, and had time to dry, in the period intervening between the two occasions when she freely admitted to using the bathroom : that is, in the evening or overnight when, according to her she was not there. That was a lie exposed by the science and her own account.

Wow. To those USF law faculty & students temporarily drawn to Knox's highly fictional versions (on TJMK we counted over 500 lies in her book, plus the framing of Dr Mignini for forcing a confession when he was actually absent in bed) were you told Knox is a convicted felon for life? Here is an antidote to the Kool Aid. (1) Knox never a well-funded and supervised exchange student; (2) Knox shacking up with her drug dealer; (3) Sollecito & Knox incessantly fighting from time of arrest; (4) the 2007-08 pro-bail hearing failures, (5) the huge body of evidence at trial that took 8 months to collect; (6) the prosecution’s major success of a unanimous verdict; (7) the obviously despondent defense’s obvious failures, such as Rudy as Lone Wolf; (8) the interrogation hoax and 34 other hoaxes; (9) the bending and then annulling of the Hellman appeal court; (10) Knox being found guilty of criminal defamation by all courts; (11) even a bent Supreme Court chamber confirming strong proof of Knox at the murder scene, and (12) Knox not ever being exonerated or ever suing for wrongful imprisonment.

1:17:27 I love Amanda. But she seems to be expecting human nature to just rewrite itself. I’m reminded of Cicero’s description of Cato the Younger: “He thinks he’s living in Plato’s Republic, when he’s really living in Romulus’ dung heap.” Whether or not a prosecutor places integrity over career isn’t going to be affected by any systematic reform. If a person is good by nature, they will do an honest job. If a person is bad by nature, they will hurt people just to get ahead. I hate to be so pessimistic, but ambitious prosecutors will always be a fact of life.

Not if people are raised to have a more reasoned thinking free of cultural biases as much as possible. Unfortunately, that is often in hindsight, add that into a stubbornness to not admit errors in reasoning, cause massive problems. Maybe prosecutors and anyone coming near legal and law enforcement needs to be fully psychologically assessed for these things. It is possible.

The truth doesn’t matter to Amanda. She did not call the police. Two hours after she first noticed things were off at her house, Raffael called the police, and only after the Postal Police arrived.
@mytrip6991
@mytrip6991 2 жыл бұрын
False. Amanda called Filomena which started the events leading to the discovery of the murder. Raffaele called the carabiniere because he knew what emergency number to call :112. In the US that is 911. But most importantly, he called because he spoke Italian which Knox did not. All courts, except the overturned Nencini court, accepted that the 112 call was made BEFORE the postal police arrived. The evidence for this is quite clear.
@mstat7776

@@mytrip6991 The Postal Police were dispatched around 12:00 and arrived at 12:35. CCTV recorded the Postal Police at 12:31 right before their second loop to the villa which is consistent with times the Postal Police reported. Raffael called the Carabinieri twice: at 12:51 and 12:54. Phone records prove this.

@@mytrip6991 Knox spoke Italian. Her boyfriend was Italian and she worked in an Italian bar. Also, she told Meredith she didn’t want to hang out with people who spoke English. Only Italian. She wrote her mom a letter in Italian a few days after the murder. You know the letter where she told her mom she wanted her to take her shopping for clothes and wanted to stay in Perugia, telling her mom, she had nothing to be afraid of living there. Which is very bizarre considering her roommate was just brutally murdered in the room next to her bedroom and there was a murderer on the loose. 🤷‍♀️
@mytrip6991
@mytrip6991 2 жыл бұрын
@@mstat7776 No, Knox did not speak Italian. She'd had one year of beginning Italian in school and a couple months in Italy. She was there to LEARN it. If you've ever studied languages (I have studied French and Spanish) you know that level one classes are very basic and vocabulary is limited. You basically learn the present and preterit tenses and maybe the present progressive. She had no ability to understand more complicated tenses, the subtleties of the language, the idioms, etc. Plus, she was under great stress with people coming at her from all sides yelling at her. She didn't want to hang out with English speakers because she was trying to learn Italian. She needed to hear and use Italian. It's called submersion learning. Amanda and Raffaele spoke in a combination of English and Italian because his English knowledge was about as rudimentary as her Italian. Raffaele had to translate to her what was going on after the murder. If you read the transcripts, the police testified that they couldn't understand what Knox was saying so Sollecito had to translate for her. She worked at Le Chic handing out flyers and serving drinks to students. Only rudimentary Italian was needed and most students also spoke English. English is the most common second language in Europe and most younger people people speak it. When I've been to Europe, including Italy, I've never had a trouble as almost everyone speaks English. The letter you're referring to was a class assignment in her Italian class. I also had to do such assignments in my French and Spanish classes. It was a very basic letter and not meant to be sent but turned in to the teacher for grading. Besides, her mother didn't speak or read Italian and was on her way to Italy anyway. As for going shopping, if you read the letter you can see that she says she has no clothes because they were all in the cottage and she was not allowed to retrieve them. She had only the clothes she was wearing when the murder was discovered. She needed to go shopping to buy some. She said she was afraid and confused but not of living in Italy because she didn't want to leave Perugia and go back to the US. You can read the letter here: www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/searching-for-amanda-knox Of course, it's been translated into correct English for the reader so there's no way to know how correct her Italian was. She became fluent in Italian while in an Italian prison where she was immersed in it for four years. That is how she learned to speak fluent Italian.

@@mstat7776 Sorry, but you've only read the guilt sites that only tell you one version...theirs. The CCTV clock in the parking garage was slow by several minutes. This is from the Hellmann Appeal trial Motivation Report. Note that it says that both the Massei Trial of first instance and Hellman found that the 112 call was made BEFORE the arrival of the postal police: "There has been much discussion on what did ‐ or did not ‐ transpire prior to the call made to 112 with respect to the unexpected arrival of the Police, the Prosecutor conjecturing that the call to the Carabinieri on 112 had been made at the sight of the unexpected arrival of the Police, and made only to corroborate the theory of their innocence. But on the basis of testimony given by the Police personnel on duty and from the schedules recorded on the printouts, even Court of the Assizes of First Instance reached the conclusion that those telephone calls had been made prior to the arrival of the Police, and with no knowledge of their imminent arrival"
