I love Venice! ❤ I recently discovered that the remains in the San Marco tomb are very probably not those of the apostle Saint Mark …but of Alexander the Great! There is some good info online about this “theory” - which is quite convincing - if you look into the history and antique description of the remains (which are mummified and covered in perfume: just like Alexander - also not a typical Christian burial custom).
