It is called in Dutch a ‘Schrotenwagen’. This Gipsy Wagon was built circa 2018 by P. Schuermans in The Netherlands. In the earlier years of the 20th century, when P. Schuermans' father was still alive, the Schuermans family built, maintained and repaired various Gypsy Wagons. This Gypsy Wagon was built with the typical white wooden slats on the outside and the partition wall with sliding doors be- tween the living room and bedroom on the inside.

I just wrote a giant article on these machines so I have to let you know, this machine came BEFORE Sega's version. Or more specifically, Pallacanestro Elettrica by L'Automatico / RMG did, probably 1965. They released the same game in different markets like UK (via Jollymatic) and Germany (via Rhenania) but currently we think they were all made by RMG in Italy. The control panel marquee with "BASKET" on it was one of many variations used in different markets. Your table has the flat control panel found on the Pallacanestro Elettrica and the original-style scoreboard with the white circles. Basket Ball, as built by RMG / L'automatico in Italy, and being sold by Jollymatic in the UK, appeared early 1966, and the Sega copy (which also had the angular dome: the curved version didn't appear until their 1968 redesign) did not appear until the end of 1966.

Oh, great! But although it's labeled as "Nechada" it's actually made by famous Georgian organ maker Oghanes Kitesov (ethnic Armenian). He was Nechada's apprentice in Odessa for a long time, then he moved to Tbilisi, Georgia and crafted street organs labeled "Nechada" even after the Revolution. Just because at that moment "Nechada" wasn't even a brand, it was an important part of the traditional style. His son and grandson also became organ makers, and only his grandson started to label his organs as "Kitesov".

This original Haddorff upright piano (either foot pumped player or straight upright piano) was remodeled into an orchestrion probably in the 1980s or 1990s by the late Barry Casper’s company, “Antique Nickelodeon Company” aka “Ragola” and “Resource West” of Las Vegas, Nevada. This company not to be confused with Ragtime Automated Music of California, and the design of their components is quite different. I’m sure if you get the piano tuned (to the bells) in this orchestrion, and then tune the pipes to the piano and bells (although it sounds like the pipes are quite closely in tune with the bells here), surely this instrument will become more desirable to bidders.

Hi thanks for sharing. There has been some discussion about this organ on Facebook and an authority who knows this organ informed me that this is not actually a model 34 Ruth, but rather a model 32 organ, with a newer facade. According to the shipping records for Ruth book and roll organs compiled into table form in “Waldkirch Street and Fairground Organs”, Ruth shipped a total of 10 style 32 organs from 1921 until the early 1930s. I don’t know which of those this one is, but I hope it finds a good home. From what I understand, the 32 is a reduced version of the 33 which is only 45 keyless (vs 52 keyless). However, the scale for the model 32 is not in any of my books and I’m not aware of any in the USA, so I can’t comment except that this is a nice sounding organ.
