The blocks used to explode. I'll let my dev team know that they are currently not and thank you for reaching out to me. Currently the mod checks for minecraft:coal_ore (itemid) and if a torch (minecraft:torch) was attached to the coal block. The config allows you to configure more than default metal and gold axe which are used for sparks and it should (maybe not implemented) allow you to configure other blocks for this behavior. Please look over gitlab.com/kreezxil/coal-explosion/-/issues/11 and add your other concerns to it. thanks.

Yes, because the video is featured on my mod's page at www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/coal-explosion and since it plays there, then it counts as a view. In general, they don't view it here and as such normally don't respond here. They have, however, commented heavily on the mod's page, in the issue tracker, and on my discord.

if you are using a version of the mod that is newer than July of 2018, then yeah, the mechanics of the mod has changed.

As in mods to make? I recommend simple mods that don't do more than many things. And certainly not a mod with eclectic things in them. Mods should be focused so that pack developers can make packs in a granular way via adding mods, not adding that one mod that does everything and then traipsing through thousands of lines of configs to turn things on and off. You can always look at 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 mods, find the popular ones, and if they never ported forward. Don't disassemble them, as that can lead you into trouble. Just make entirely new versions of them with an entirely new names. That'll help you to get popular. Or just make some entirely new like a Deluge mod, where when it is raining there is a chance that a water source block is placed near the player in their view distance. I'd really like to see that one.

@@Kreezxil Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it. I thought expansive mods are what people usually go for. But there's loads of simple mods with millions of downloads. I like the idea of Deluge mod, I'll try to make it.

That one ship sure looks like it. At least we upgraded from using an xbox controller to drive it. Now we use what amounts to an MTG deck.

@@Bzstrakxzyou have to configure it. Biomes O'Plenty isn't like Terralith. BOP adds it's own unique ground blocks. Whereas Terralith uses existing vanilla Minecraft ground blocks. Yes, I made a comparison to Terralith as I feel it's the better mod for biomes now.
