just ordered one for my buddy. were dads getting back int oelague of legends. he uses an apple labtop and im sick of listening to his keyboard through his labtop mic lol. i assumed this would be better then the built in mic ha. cheers on the video

What's great is the fact is gas a gain dial, and it's not a noisy mic so it should do the job :)

For the money, not to bad. BUT, YOU NEED TO WORK IT IN, AS IT FOUND IT A BIT STIFF, NOT SMOOTH, WHEN TRYING TO GET AN EVEN, VOLUMN SWELL

@planet__ben I am using mine as a stereo keyboard pedal, so I wanted a little more smoothness. Nothing a small socket, couldn't adjust, all done working great. Like I said for the price you pay, it's Great 😎🐾

Thanks again for this review Ben! I’ve watched it before, then weeks pasted and I found myself considering a Music Man Ray4 Stingray bass for a New Year treat. I then realised from reviews from 2 years ago that they used to be $299 in the US, but over $500 in the UK now with the left-handed version closer to $600 (£469 from Andertons). I then looked at the new Sire Marcus Miller Z3 only to discover that the left-handed version was 20% more than the right. That really ticks me off. Over the past 40 years, every time I get interested in guitars, I’m reminded of how lefties get the shitty end of the stick. Left-handed people tend to be more artistic than righties, but yet, if we get any option at all in guitars, it’s usually the shittiest colour imaginable, or nothing at all. Then I remembered about the Harley Benton MB-4 (Stingray copy) and, the left-handed version is the same price as the right, a mere £115. And, as you point out, it’s a bloody good instrument! I’m sold. All hail Harley Benton, even if they don’t have a left-handed version of their Hofner bass (Beatbass) made famous by the left-handed Sir Paul (a slight travesty I will overlook for now). @davidb_bitsbobs really appreciate this comment! Means a great deal to myself. I use to play like Eric Gayle, stock right handed guitsr but as a lefty didn't even switch the strings. Options have come a long way but still we pay the price! I am sorting a video out of a new bass from Hooker Customs, I highly recommend them, they make one off , one of a kind instruments, and the man behind the magic is a lefty as well!!

Cheers Ben! I remember watching your Hooker videos a while back and I was very impressed. A custom build for a lefty is a good way to go to be treated on equal terms as those righty folk. I guess it makes no odds what your handedness is when the instrument is yet to be made, and a lefty creator is a bonus. I'm at the early stages of my bass playing, but if I keep improving, I could be dropping Hooker Customs a request sometime. I'm currently buying a few different basses (cheap but good like Harley Benton) to figure out what configuration I prefer (P-bass, Jazz, twin humbuckers, etc). I've had an old Squier P-bass for 20 years, but last week I picked up the Harley Benton Rickenbacker copy plus a OKKO Motorbass pedal to give me that Lemmy sound. When you make your Hooker video, I'd be interested to hear the process you went through to decide on the configuration you chose. For a newbie like me, all the knobs, pick-ups, switches, passive/active malarkey is all still a bit of a head-scratcher.

@davidb_bitsbobs it's crazy as I'm a guitarist first, only been a bassist for the last 4 years in my band. I was completely unaware of how different each bass sounds, but my hooker, it's perfect for me :)

@robinhoodplys2581 if I remember correctly, this one doesn't have a headphone port. I will double check though!
