I wish you all the success in the world! I was toying with the idea of becoming a mangaka and I didn't know if it was even realistic but wow, you have definitely shown me it's possible. I understand that you might not have success yet but nothing possible is unachievable. Everything that can be done is simply a number of steps from beginning to end so it's simply a matter of time and effort if you really want it. But I'm curious, have you thought about what it would be like to be an actual published mangaka? You know professional mangakas work like 16-20 hours per day and they don't even get to see their kids. I don't know if this is just the successful ones like Oda but it seems being a mangaka is hard. Your whole life will revolve around manga and the manga you draw. I tried to imagine myself as a mangaka and I realised either I would have to be a very different mangaka than the average or I would not be one at all. There's no way I'd sacrifice my own hobbies and other pursuits just for the sake of manga, but if I could somehow balance it all I think I would really enjoy it.

I’m a Filipino nurse in the US and an aspiring manga artist. I’m currently working my first one-shot manga and learning JP despite the workload of being a nurse. I’m so happy I found this video ❤

honestly you art is fine just looking at anything like chainsaw man or my lesbian exp with lonliness. ya coulda easily used thsoe 30 mins drawing for a manga. in fact when ya did the 2hr piece i feel that shows the issues. let it rought up a little something like that coulda taken 30 mins to a hr. and it be fine aswell for manga publication

the more I hear, the more it makes me think like: I would rather get shot instead of working directly with a manga publisher or magazine with a set up schedule, while I don't even have my story finished

if you don't do the process, how can you tell if you're improving, or are you saying that you already know everything there is to learn and you just want to skip to the result without doing the hard work.
