I'm looking for a realtime Live Link foot plant solver. Mocap live data commonly has feet sliding and I got better things to do in life than frame by frame cleanup lol.

I am sure you might have found the solution by now. But here is a possible solution for others with the same issue. It could be the hair mesh (or any other joined mesh) that could cause the issue. Select whatever part/s you suspect in edit mode, then press "p" to separate the selected mesh and separate it. Then parent the mesh (with auto weights) again to the rig. Another issue might be overlapping vertices. Go into edit mode, select all vertices, press "m" and then select "by distance" to remove overlapping vertices. Then parent to the rig again. Also, before you parent the rig again, delete the previous rig modifier from the modifiers tab and all the vertex groups under the data tab.

I’m 2 years late, but thanks to your video, I was able to connect my rig to my character. From what I see is that your rig is paired with the clothing, you can try parenting your clothes to the body. Which is select the body, shift select the clothing in object mode and go to weight paint and under weight go down to transfer weights and in the settings under source layers change from active layer to by name. If you have already done that you can select body vertices in edit mode and merge vertices by distance. I saw those options in a video before this one. Hope this helps.

trying to follow along with you here cause I got the fantasy morph set and the mass effect add on from hellfishstudios. Problem is I create the genesis female then add a morph from hellfish, So far so good. I open up the window, then x2, when x2 opens it will not let me select a source. So thats about as far along as i got. Any ideas?

Thank you, great tutorial. It was very helpful. But you do definitely need to purchase the extra add-ons for the whole GenX to work from Genesis 2 or Genesis 3, which is kinda unfortunate. (Their product description is very confusing cause it seems to imply you don't need the add-ons at first). Ah, also just so you know, the name Aiko is pronounced "EYE-ko"! :D

if its genesis 3 to 8 you dont need the whole genx deal if you are going below genesis 3 to like 2 or 1 you will as I could only find GenX for older generations

if you go to sharecg and look up Different Mike for Daz Michael 4 you might find it. I tried to look up the Mike 2 head but couldnt really even find an example I am guessing its from Michael 2 which is almost impossiable to find in the first place. I got Michael 3 but that doesnt have any morphs currently

Just in case, let me be a little clearer on what exactly I'm workin with here. Yes, what I'm trying to get onto a G8 (or any Genesis, really) is the head/or face of a Michael 2 character I have. Back in the Poser 3-4 days, Mike2 was the current top of the line, until, of course, sometime into my Poser career Mike3 came out. I so dearly loved my character I'd built on M2 but am no bloody good with recreation of the character's face, so the guy who'd taught me Poser asked the person who'd built a figure out of a V3 body and a V2 head (.cr2 with .obj file and everything) if he could do the same for Mike. Yay, he could, did, and I worked with that until illness forced me away from all this until recently. With all the almost indescribable improvements in both software and content, you can imagine how potent the craving is to get to try out all this groovy new stuff. If all that clears up anything for you. If there's anything at all I can provide, please just let me know. Either way, thanks so much for your time and attention. currently you cannot make the eye large in metahumans until they have a control to increase the eyeball socket size and eye size you will get some strange results

Thanks man! Helpful video. I used my scanned head. It tracked the eyes, smile lines, and lips great. But when I make the other layers visible, none of them show up. They weren't anywhere on the screen. This a known issue? SOLVED: I used the identity solver, and then did a B comparison and when I zoomed in it had all the white lined layers. PS. You may want to up your mic volume a bit. Cheers.

I tried with a photograph. It does not work, while it does use one frame to do the tracking, when it comes to the mesh seems this thing uses like a wrap modifier on a generic metahuman head to get the custom one. Also your eye got bad results because you need to do a full frontal view, your model is slightly rotated.

The issue isn't the rotation of the front view, the issue is that the eyeball size in metahuman is locked and when you do larger eyes in stylized characters the mesh tracks the face and skin but doesn't track eye location, size, or eyelash location and size. Your model doesn't have to be exactly dead on straight looking into the camera, although that helps, it doesn't have to be exact because unreal is reading the location of the mesh that's uploaded.

for the ears, you should use a different frame and I need to add you spent a lot of time on the eyes and you backed it to the default mh eyes that don't look like the eyes of the model. I have done some testing myself the rigging part is not useful at all but as far as it gives me 90% close shape with the same topology it's very helpful I use that and in wrap3 I make it 100%. in Maya, I discard all the joints attached to the face and with a script, I convert the delta shape into blendshape. for the eyes, my source is a normal metahuman, not a custom one which always results in weird movement.

Hi Ayam, Am I understanding you correctly you have a metahuman, with other eyes than the ones MHC puts constraints on? (strange, big eyes). I was testing today, and how much you do your best with the eyes, afterward, you have to rescale them to the normal metahuman-ones as @Dustin Meyer did at the end of his video.

hey when i select the unchecked options nothing is highlighted. its only showing the normal lines that happen automatically how can i see the other lines? when u selected the first eyebrow 4 example, it showed up on the left side of the screen. when i select the eyebrow i dont see anything anywhere

so there might be a few things when turn on the layer for example the eye brow there is the active and visibility. you could maybe have it set to active but not the Visibility. also it could have generated somewhere weird in location I even found a few that where almost off the screen

@@jackthewhite12 This is because for anything that is not auto-tracked, i.e., the curves you see after tracking a promoted frame, it will be shown where the Template Mesh is, which is often offscreen until you perform the initial Identity Solve.
