Yes, peeling plastic off more plastic. Should I be concerned about the plastic that makes up the card too? I doubt the gpu would get hot enough on the outside for the packaging to even melt, especially with good case airflow.

@@dr.ashgon hey, you don’t have to believe me I’ve been in this industry, working on computers for over 15 years if it catches on fire that’s on you don’t say I didn’t warn you and when you were installing the GPU I also noticed you were putting pressure on your motherboards PCI slot for the GPU when you had the GPU installed you were pulling on the plastic which I seen was causing the card to pull and move while in the GPU socket you’re gonna rip that thing right out of the socket you dude do not deserve to own a PC. You are a definition of what I like to call a computer abuser, and while you have time clean out your nasty case and get it rid of that nasty dust cause that’s what’s gonna cause you a fire.

I was not pulling on it that hard, and I wash pushing in the opposite direction i was pulling to cancel out the extra force. Also the PCI slot endures a lot more force from a GPU that size when the PC is upright, even with a support bracket. A small force from peeling the packaging while the PC is on its side is nothing compared to that. Yes, it wasn't the smartest of idea, but it wasn't really that big of a deal. As for the dust, there is hardly any dust in there, I have seen worse. I did clean it out after installing the GPU. The dust amount in there was in no way enough to start a fire. You would need to have a massive layer of dust like what you get from the lint trap after putting clothes in the dryer to have a fire risk.

I hope so too! I don't have too many plans for ray tracing. If I want ray tracing I will use my beast of a laptop that has a 4070 haha.

I upgraded from an RX 570 to a 6000 series, and that’s what was within my budget. Buying a GPU that’s previous generation or “outdated” is not a bad thing.

@@jonahmatteson Buying a useless GPU is what is a bad thing. This is equivalent to buying a new car but saving some money by buying one without an engine.

@@ThisIsMeArnold Can you elaborate on how is it a useless GPU? Its been more useful than the RX570 I had before. What GPU would you say would've been a better option over the RX6800 at the same price and specs?

Those are so expensive lol. The gt 1030 was temporary, because I was using my rx 570 to stream. I put the rx 570 in now. I may upgrade to an rtx 3050 in the future but I’m not sure since they are expensive still.

@@insberr.gaming i wouldn't recomend a rtx 3050. Rx6600 would be better but that gpu will still be a bottleenck for that Ryzen 7

I’m not upgrading my graphics card. I am currently using a RX 570 which is a card a friend of mine gave me. It’s an upgrade from the GT 1030 I originally put in when I built my PC. I’m also thinking of upgrading the RAM and PSU later on.
