Hallo ich besitze dieses tolle Tonband schon 45 Jahre und habe es nach langer Zeit wieder mal abgespielt. Funktionierte einwandfrei aber plötzlich keine Wiedergabe mehr. Die blaue Anzeige leuchtet nicht mehr. Ist da eine Reparatur noch sinnvoll. Ich will es behalten. Hat jemand einen Rat für mich ? Danke

Nostalgia time for me. I bought the TC377 back in 77 brand new for $315.00 I believe. Was great company ( esp after a breakup ) for a little while. Worked great for about 6-7 years. I had many reels of nonstop favorite songs from back in the day. Absolutely loved my Sony reel to reel. Brought me many great memories in the time machine.

Fantastic! Never worked on a SABA reel to reel deck before, never even seen one. Looks too new to have tubes, are those just for the recording oscillator and the rest of the amp is solid state? I’ve seen and worked on Tandberg, Bang & Olufsen, Phillips, Geloso and Dual as well as all the usual Japanese machines but never a SABA.

That machine runs smoothly. I found one and it squeaks and screeches a bit, and it doesn't seem to turn off when I use the switch. Is the Shut-off switch only supposed to be activated when you are about to disconnect it? But not really turn it off by itself? or why does it remain "on" when I turn the switch off?

It sounds terrible. 😢 You first have to learn how to record properly, forst of you drive the needle much to far in the red zone, stay just for the red zone. With your way of recording you get a distorted sound. On the net you can find videos of how you can learn to record properly. Succes!

Ja, das waren noch Zeiten, als ich mit meinem Report 4200 versuchte, perkekte Synchronisation mit meinen 8mm Filmen hinzubekommen... Hat nur selten geklappt, aber immerhin, ich hatte schon damals Tonfilm... Die Schlepperei mit dem etwa 5kg schweren Gerät ist mir immer noch in guter Erinnerung... Ja, damals war ich noch jung und hatte meine grosse Freude an diesem Tonbandgerät...Heute ist alles irgendwie steril, kein Vergleich zu damals...
