I've ridden the Tokaido several times, but never had the experience of watching one pass at such speed while at a station. Must be incredible. Thanks for posting.

it is indeed an amazing experience. Kurikoma-Kogen is one of the best stations for this, as besides having perfectly straight tracks and only few trains stopping it also has the yellow safety belt behind the platform barrier so that you can stand really close to the tracks and still be safe. Typically it's the other way round, e.g. at Tokyo Station you have the yellow floor markings first and then the barriers.

@@armchairtravel The first thing I did after watching your video was search for the station on Google maps, and it’s easy to see why this station is a good place for high speed traffic. Hope to get there one day. Thanks. 🙏🏻

@@brandontownsend6955 fingers crossed! It really is something special, the videos don't capture the initial blast wave, it's best experienced in person indeed.

sorry, it would take outrageous amounts of storage to process and edit all that footage. Just not possible :(

Does anyone else ever comment on the music?
@armchairtravel11 ай бұрын
there have been some people asking for playlists. Generally, the videos and music are used mostly as a background for whatever people are currently doing I think, so for most people it wouldn't be critical to know what the actual band/track is.

I never knew you had so many channels and with different music on each one. With all this new music my Shazam app is going to overheat soon! And I started an Arm Chair Traveler playlist on Apple Music, thanks again 🙏🏼👏🏼😎🤙🏼
