Good work. Time to upgrade from a child's flimsy nylon plectrum to something a little less rattling but otherwise perfect.

This is an EXCELLENT example of a song that shows why no rock guitar player should ever focus more on the left hand effort than the right hand rhythm effort put in. The two most limiting designations in Rock are Rhythm guitar and Lead Guitar. GREAT players are never just one of the two........it's always BOTH. Another great example? Joe Walsh's "Funk 49". Like this song the Left hand fret work is very simple beginner level playing.....the magic that makes both songs work so well is really all in your pick hand.

What a great job: no useless talking and finger position for chords, only a clear example of strumming and riffs. Thanks a lot.

Thanks man. Me and the band have decided to cover this number and this vid helped me figure it out. Only thing i do differently is not be so busy with my strumming hand. I find if i cool out with my strumming hand and give the song a little more room to breath it works out better. Especially with the full band going.

ntro] Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs With the boombox blarin' as we're fallin' in love Got a bottle of whatever, but it’s gettin' us drunk Singing, "Here's to never growing up" [Verse 1] Call up all our friends Go hard this weekend For no damn reason I don't think we'll ever change Meet you at the spot Half past ten o'clock We don't ever stop And we're never gonna change Say, won't you say "forever"? Stay, if you stay forever Hey, we can stay forever young [Chorus] Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs With the boombox blarin' as we're fallin' in love Got a bottle of whatever, but it’s gettin' us drunk Singing, "Here's to never growing up" We'll be runnin' down the street yelling, "Kiss my ass" I'm like, "Yeah, whatever, we're still living like that" When the sun's going down, we'll be raisin' our cups Singing, "Here's to never growing up" [Post-Chorus] Oh-woah, oh-woah (Here's to never growing up) Oh-woah, oh-woah (Here's to never growing up) [Verse 2] We live like rock stars Dance on every bar This is who we are I don't think we'll ever change (Hell no!) They say, "Just grow up" But they don't know us We don't give a fuck And we're never gonna change Chorus] (Oh) Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs With the boombox blarin' as we're fallin' in love Got a bottle of whatever (Ooh), but it's gettin' us drunk (Drunk, drunk) Singing, "Here's to never growing up" We'll be runnin' down the street yelling, "Kiss my ass" I'm like, "Yeah, whatever, we're still living like that" (Like that) When the sun's going down, we'll be raisin' our cups Singing, "Here's to never growing up" [Post-Chorus] Oh-woah, oh-woah (Here's to never growing up) Oh-woah, oh-woah (Oh, raise your glass and say) "Cheers, to never growing up" [Outro] Oh-woah, oh-woah (Da-de-da-de-da-de) (Here's to never growing up) No, we're never growin' up Oh-woah, oh-woah (Ha-ha-ha-ha, ha-ha, ha) Here's to never growing up

Andy was responsible for mutating good songs into classics but Sting didn't credit him by paying him joint royalties - so far as I am aware. Mean spirited.

What makes you say that? It's not a key that's very friendly for open chords voicing and his rhythm part is definitely open strings.

According to Jim Gossett(sp?) of "The Guitar Show" channel, Ronnie recorded that tune using a Fender Tweed Bandmaster combo with three 10" speakers. And as you called it an Electro Harmonix Big Muff.
