Who cares as long as they’re made as good as the ones made in the US or Europe? Have you seen the quality of Cordoba flamenco or classical guitars made in China?

I have a Gibson J45 Deluxe featuring Rosewood back and sides with JR Baggs (?) electronics and it’s a bad ass in every way! DEEP low ends, tremendous sustain unplugged and great string separation when playing chords. The electronics are also phenomenal, better than anything I’ve ever seen, excluding maybe a Martin D28, which is like the holy grail of acoustics. Your list must have some limitations to not include the Martin D28, a MacPherson or a Collins.

I have 3 acoustic guitars one is a Luna I never heard of the brand Luna before but it's an excellent guitar it plays well and the electronics for the pickup sounds good I read online that the owner of the company was a designer who was a Cuban refugee who migrated to Miami and I thought that was cool my second guitar is a Joe Strummer signature campfire acoustic being a fan of the Clash in the 70's and the 80's I had to get it the small body is nice and not to small the action is good and it's great for what it's intended for small gatherings and campfire jams with friends rock the casbah the first acoustic guitar that I bought was a 1980 Fender Concord it had terrible action but a nice warm sound eventually I had a bone bridge and bone nut put on it and had the action adjusted and now it plays great it doesn't have a pickup so I use a Dean Markley Pro Mag humbucker with it and it sounds good I have used it many times for coffee house gigs I have tried Gibson and PRS acoustics but never found anything I like better than what I already have

I love my Joe Strummer Campfire guitar. It's about the same size as my mahogany parlor. Great action. Slightly shorter scale. Really comfortable to play and was my #1 practice guitar until I got a American Acoustasonic Tele. Now I want a Highway Series, but not sure which flavor. As I get older, ergonomics plays a larger factor, and these new Fenders really focus on smooth contours and curves where traditional acoustics are typically hard and sharp.

There is no Z in Casio, it is a soft s.
@Persun_McPersonson Жыл бұрын
There are several things wrong with this: 1. The reason there is a distinction between a "soft S" and "hard S" in the first place is because both sounds are made by the letter S. Barely any words that have the hard S sound in them spell it with a Z. Your argument is like saying, "There is no Z in 'keys', it's a soft S." 2. Whether a word with an S in it is pronounced with a soft S or hard S is dependent on dialect. Some people pronounce "houses" as _houssizz,_ others as _houzizz._

Yamaha's p-125 keybed is not good but sound engine is fine. What about Casio px 870 /ap 470 + Kawai kdp 120 in this price range....???
@jazzzman1000 Жыл бұрын
For under $700 the P-125 keyboard is pretty darn good.

@@jazzzman1000I’m stuck between the kawai Kdp75 and the es-120
@Persun_McPersonson Жыл бұрын
@@rainypath96 The ES-120 has more voices and slightly-better speakers (only 1 W difference for each side) and is more portable but at the cost of a cheaper, plastic chassis. The KDP-75 has quite a few less voices, only marginally-less-powerful speakers, and is less portable but looks and feels very nice. The '120 may be more wiggly to play on but has a pretty quiet action. The body of the '75 might be more stable and less suseptible to shaking from hard playing, but is said by some to amplify the sound of the action somewhat, which may be undesirable.
@jazzzman1000 Жыл бұрын
@@rainypath96 What is your use case? It depends on how and where your will use it. I have a Kawai MP11SE which is just amazing to play, but limited on sounds and super heavy. It sits in my studio but I don't gig with it.
@Persun_McPersonson Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelLewandowski-xu1nk I'm not the world-famous Jazz(z) Man, but I can offer some insight. There's going to have to be a compromise made here, based on your specific goals. If you want to prioritize features and having some casual fun jam sessions, or perhaps composing some multi-instrument tunes, then the DGX-670 is a fine choice. However, the GH-S action it uses isn't ideal for trying to advance in your piano playing ability for over five years up to a decade into the future, as it is going to somewhat bottleneck you after a few years (assuming you progress at a steady pace). However, while there is going to be a limit in ease of technical execution on any action in this price range, some actions get you farther than others: if you're willing to have less instrument voices and arranger features in exchange for a better, more responsive, expressive, and less limiting keybed, then the Kawai ES-120 and its RH-C action is your best bet within your budget. Take your pick between overall features vs. the keys themselves; either instrument is perfectly good for its purpose.
