Maybe I'm missing something here, but where are our latest stats on the common old garden variety of the Common Cold and Influenza, that usually present themselves around this time of year, and where the elderly are encouraged to take their annual flu shot. Could it be that a percentage of these sudden spikes of Covid-19 could actually be just the flu?. That said, the flu is just as serious, especially to the elderly, hence the reason that they need their annual flu vaccine. But nowhere have I heard or read, that among these sudden spikes in Victoria, and elsewhere, there exists the possibility that some may contain ordinary flu symptoms. They say that it takes two days for the test to reveal a positive case of having contracted Covid-19, and perhaps it'd be less for determining flu symptoms. It's been more than three days since this spike, and as mentioned, no news to say, that among the thousands tested, there are no reports that the common Cold or Influenza is among them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not panning the Health Authorities, as we all know what a horrendous undertaking they're faced with to try and keep on top of it, and would like to give them a shout out for that. It's only that the thought had crossed my mind in regard to the flu. Understandably, Covid-19 has taken priority, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Stay safe everyone...
