@BlackCountryKnight There's a problem with the rtw deluxe mod. When you play the Greeks you can move units out of Pergamon and Naxos. When playing someone else you can't besiege them 😳

@alanmike6883 oh I've only played a bit as the Romans so far....the west works fine if that helps

@@BlackCountryKnight Naxos doesn't exist in the default original map. So I think Pergamon Is assailable. But the madgus Mungus map is broken. Test it. When you play as Greece it's fine but grab a Roman general, teleport it to Pergamon and Naxos as a test And you'll find you can't lay siege to them.. Which Is annoying because I was doing so well in my Julii campaign that I got angry And deleted it. Unless you kill the Greek leaders in the field you can never defeat them. The creator of the mod has done a big boo boo . So I've given up on it. I'm gonna try insurlaris Draco and the barbarian Invasion mod over the weekend

Yes, linked territories reduces the corruption and therefore increases income. Think there is a public order bonus too but it would be really minimal

ooooh many play thorughs ago, I did one a s the AA and kept losing sieges like 2 mins before I won because of the timer. Also seen people cheese the game in battles for large cities eg Minas Tirith knowing that the AI wont make it up to the top ALways thought it too gamey

I stopped the campaign as the developer said the new update adds so much more. SO yeah I'm afraid for now. Will be getting the newest version soon though!

Would the ram not just push through the shield wall formation? Always thought about it but never committed to it. Also, you get the benefits of the archers being on the wall and killing them orcs as they gather on the city side of the bridge. Wish you could place archers on the covered walkways next to the bridge!

@BlackCountryKnight not really when they see thay there are troops in the wat they'll drop it and start fighting. You can also tell your walls to shoot the rams and siege equipment to break them down. Forgot to add that in imladris you will rarely see the AI using siege towers and ladders

@nikolay48 I know about the ladders...that's why the archers are safe on the walls. Next time I get to imladris I will give it a go!

Its stable- played around as the greeks for a bit and not one crash

@@BlackCountryKnight Keeping a unit near it Turns it on. In the original the towers would Keep firing without it so was annoying trying to capture walls. Oh good. Stability can be the make or break of a mod

I think the towers in the cities are the same as med 2 rather than constantly firing at you

I would say that the vchanges made to it for this version have set it back somewhat. 2.4 was a much more stable version and crashes are now too frequent. I have actually got myself Rome Delux (must have both watched Melkor's video on it haha) and it is much more playable and the turn time is quicker etc. I think that perhaps EB2 is a bit too ambitious and has too many descriptions and details in it which now make the game seem slow.

Pikes seem to work- just need to make sure that the units are on defend or they don't lower them!

Its very handy not being involved in the European theatre

Thanks! I think there is a 2.5 version now and that provides the sea and regional names. I don't have a submod working with this build.

@@BlackCountryKnight Thanks for the quick replay - which leaves me a little confused though, since there's no 2.5 mentioned anywhere at all. According to the EB 2 forum at twcenter and to their discord, 2.4a is still the current build. Do you remember where you downloaded the mod? Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong places...

I got it from mod dB. It's not as stable as 2.4 though so be mindful for that

@@BlackCountryKnight Alright, thanks. So we're essentially playing on the same version then. (2.4a) I'll just re-install and see what happens. (By the way: the battle crashing issue can apparently be minimized/solved if you play the battles with the "medium" difficulty. I experience the 2.4a battle crashes myself - but only if I play on any other battle difficulty than "medium". With medium difficulty I had not a single crash at all in EB 2.4a yet - and I'm 380 turns into a Bactria campaign and 210 turns into a Hayasdan one - both campaigns including several massive battles with 3 or more fullstacks on the battle map.)

Never heard it linked to difficulty! Is it just battle of campaign as well?
