Brother I feel ur pain did my first paint job use single stage from east wood.sides came our great had 4inch sag.tryi g to put last heaver coat.Roof ended up looking like clear coat peel.block and sanded it smooth but little imperfect. I'm 66 and really enjoyed.Like in ur comment don't b hard on yourself looks great.my buddy's told me same thing ..Don't b hard on yourself

Brings back memories of my youth! I bought a 55 Plymouth Belvedere in 1965, 6 months before i could legally drive. Paid a whopping $40 bucks for it. Now at 74 years old i've had a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook coupe for over 20 years. It's evolved into a drag and drive car. I'm documenting the build on my 53 Plymouth channel. Give a look and shout out. These are underrated collector/ classic cars. My 1st car in 1965 was a 55 Plymouth Belvedere 6 cylinder flathead with 3 on the tree. For over the last 20 years i've had a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook coupe, that's evolved into a drag and drive car. I'm documenting the latest remodel on the 53 Plymouth channel. Check it out. @@PepeAndo-u6p yes. If you installed a vacuum kit from PATC. You will need to adjust the vacuum switch. Use a flat head screw drive turn the screw 1/4 turn. Take it for a drive and then keep adjusting until you get it tuned in. Remove the vacuum hose the screw is inside the tube.

@@oscarwalton1188 no compression cylinder 5. The valves are moving I believe the exhaust valve is either burnt up or rusted out.

Yank the valve cover and see if the valves are moving bent push rods exe if it's not it would be a good idea to pull both heads and go through them given how long it has been setting.. good luck.

Electric fuel pumps should be mounted right by the fuel tank they push the gasoline manual fuel pump mounted to the engine suck the gasoline.

I'm a disabled vet needing help. I got a barn find 47 Dodge pickup that they started upgrade to 12 v. I was told the starter was bad so I sent it to DCM for upgrade to 12 v+. It's a pedal start. Do I need a starter relay? Bench checked start and it works but in truck I get nothing.

Question, I did all the steps like you said but I’m only getting 7 volts to the yellow wire from the key. The relay seems like it won’t close and it’s brand new. Any suggestions

@at-the-509 start chasing the wire back and testing it. Could be corrosion at the bulk head connector at firewall. Could be bad ignition switch. If its the ignition switch and you don't want to replace it you can use a push button starter on dash to engage the relay. Good luck
