That is a terrible plow lift point. Get rid of the winch cable in favor of a winch rope and connect it to the bottom almost straight down from the fairlead.
@nighthawk1228
@nighthawk1228 13 күн бұрын
Where I have it has the least amount of contact on the rollers around the winch guide. I am not against the rope, I'm just not going to get rope when it has cable. Only snapped the cable 2 times in 4 years. People I know with rope are constantly snapping the rope.

@@nighthawk1228 Only ones breaking the rope, are the ones that don’t know how to operate the winch properly. Rope is hands down better than cable in just about every situation.

Thank you. I almost bought one second hand, but, the man said the electric start is really hard to get it going.. He was not happy with it. Have you heard any bad reviews about this? Thank you.

THIS VIDEO SAVED MY ASS. Just happened to me. I noticed my temps were climbing hard but would droup just as hard when the fan kicked in. BUT....I stopped for like 30 seconds to fix a window and next thing I knew the fkr was at 250 and shutting itself down. I let it cool tried to run at idle to just jump right the fk up. Thought I had a stuck thermostat until I found this video. I did what you suggested and the problem went away.

I used to own a Can Am X3 and never had issues with overheating. Bought my 2024 General XP 4 1000 with heater already installed and right away I’m getting temps of 198-205 I figured it’s like a car, turn heat on high and it should cool down but it did not. I tried what you suggested and it worked. Polaris or the shop guys need to hear this and research why every General is overheating and fix it. Thanks for posting this it was good information.

Just had mine in because of a shut down overheat. I showed up it was on a ramp and hes trying to burp it and get the air out. Then they tell me many XP4's don't have the air bleed screw on the motor. The vacuum systems look promising int he future but mine was already full now. So I duct taped a manual bilge pump to the reservoir on a steep incline and I was able to suck more air bubbles out of the system. Mine has the heater leave the temp switch full hot all the time. I also put the fan override switch in to manually turn on the fan.

It's one of the coolest tracks I've been to. I grew up not far away and I've been there numerous times over the years. My dad started taking me there back when it was still a dirt track. Many memories. Trickle, Kulwicki, many many more. I drove in several spectator races, when you hit the corners it feels like your going to right thru the bottom of the car the banking puts that much pressure on you.

I know that ice fishing has a huge fan base, but come on! When the temps are above freezing and there is standing water on top of the ice, some clods will risk their lives by going fishing on the ice.

Most of these situations are caused by f**kin idiots who need to be smarter about where they drive on the ice and when. A fellow in a nearby town sunk the front end of his diesel pickup (5,000 lbs perhaps) through the ice so he "intelligently" went home to get his large diesel farm tractor that had a front end loader on it (likely 20,000 lbs). The front tires of the tractor would not be much different in size than the front tires of his truck so the psi bearing pressure would be much higher on the tractor tires. He wisely drove the tractor around in front of the truck and tried to lift it out the front axle of the truck with the bucket on the tractors front end loader. The entire tractor dropped into the lake and he nearly drowned in the tractor cab. Duhhh! A bystander fortunately pulled him out of the tractor cab and saved his life. He was quite upset when people told him he had been an idiot but he maintained there was nothing wrong with his actions. They say the truth hurts.

I’m sure the rules are different everywhere but this can be an insanely costly mistake. You have to get whatever falls through the ice OUT by law and that alone is expensive. You also pay a fine everyday it’s stays there.

@@Eleventyseven9228 no it does not! lol. In New Hampshire at a Lake Winnipesaukee there is a spot that doesn’t freeze over and snowmobilers like to “skip” the snowmobiles across the water. Every year more than a few sink. Because they leak gas/oil into the lake, you pay a daily fine until you get it out (from what I rember as a kid). No idea how much it costs but I’m sure it isn’t cheap.
