*spoiler. Did total of 7 hours lessons and booked Mod 1, passed mod 1 with no errors. Examiner says to me after "when you thinking about mod 2?" I replied that I probably will need few more hours lessons then will see what's available.. "we got a free spot at 11:45 if you feel confident" Looked at my instructor who just nodded and said "you're good, don't over think it" Went out for an hour on road again at possible test route (was not the one) came back, did mod 2 and passed with 2 minors (both were the bike slipping into neutral but I controlled it well enough to not be major) So yeah, that day was pretty good day.

Hits around 55-60 with my fat arse on it, but tbh it's a lovely bike, was great to learn on and felt solid through winding roads, could lean it pretty well.

I took my CBT just over 2 years ago on one of these. They are good enough for a 17 year old to learn how to ride. You soon want more power though

Had it since November, it's a 2021 model that I got with 1700 miles on it, I've put around 600 on it since I got it and tbh it's pretty decent for my use, problem I think with Chinese bikes is value to users. People will look after things a bit more if they are more expensive. These Chinese ones are cheap so generally the ones that last are the ones that are maintained well. First thing I did was swap oil, swap filters, degrease and replace the chain as it was not maintained well Since then it's been perfect, so much that I'm considering a benelli after doing my mod 1+2 Gloves are some Amazon purchase for like £13 I'll find the brand out.

@@BoomerTech Thanks for the reply and info. I probably wouldn't keep the bike longer than 12-15 months before doing mod1&2 so may take a punt. The Lexmoto RSS 125 also looked quite appealing with a higher seat height. Looking for a pair of 'entry level' gloves to go do the CBT next month, so if you do find a link for them that would be appreciated. Definitely consider doing some vlogs showing your journey to full license - I've subscribed to keep a look out :) Good luck with your biking journey.

Lexmotos look nice, but are probably in the lower end of reliability for the china bikes, I've seen quite a few lexmotos ISCAs with engines that suddenly seized up. I'm doing my mod 1&2 in spring/summer but will stay on the bn125 for the full year, just to get my no claims discount before going bigger.
