Don't you think it is unethical to buy Tesla, as long as this Elon is an important player? Goes with both vehicles, devices or stock. The man is dangerous, wants to buy votes to screw you. Energy is not disrupted in industry as fast, however, the business is in the network. And those networks are regulated, luckily. Dump Elon - he is not about supporting society with inventions - he is only about him and tries to hack politics. That is unethical. Tons of stocks, lots of cars, many options! Do that, drop Elon, until he changes. If we all drop Elon - Tesla is trash. If it is not trash, so what, you can be true to yourself.

TSLA rally of 100% in month from $100 to $200 was fueled by call buying which caused a gamma squeeze. No one would want to buy a stock that doubled in a month so the MM will liquidate hedges (stock in case of gamma squeeze). I would sell TSLA if you have gains,I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $138k stock portfolio, what’s the best way to take advantage of this bear market?

IMHO, as a Tesla owner of the new Model 3 Performance and existing Model Y, I think Tesla faces some scaling-quality challenges in the next few years. Everyone expects a low to zero defect vehicle from the factory, and quick service resolution for new vehicles under warranty. That has not been my experience with Tesla. I'm a Tesla stockholder and advocate, but I see problems emerging, based on my customer experience at the Service Centers in Michigan. If I were a full-time executive at Tesla (regional or HQ) I would be exclusively focusing on Tesla design-innovation and operations, making sure the customer experience-loyalty doesn't decline as Tesla scales to volume in 2024/25/26. If the customer experience-loyalty metrics are declining, this will be Tesla's limiting factor going forward. It is my personal experience that Tesla is experiencing problems with scaling both service and production quality. It appears to me that is due to employee standards-training and the service process, as well as the *missing link* between the service center experience, regional, and executive (HQ) management. Flat organizations are good but the service process does not seem to address. I have owned Tesla vehicles and my service experience does not currently measure up to my last legacy auto production quality and service experience with Hyundai, Sad to say, I'm keeping an eye on BYD, Hyundai, and some others to see if they are going to maintain their edge against Tesla with respect to service quality and fabrication quality, And now I imagine (MHO) there's a need to educate Tesla prospects about Tesla vehicle delivery, service, and arbitration process to make sure they don't get a "lemon" or experience substandard service. Sure, maybe somewhere in Texas or California, there are better delivery and service experiences, but I've seen more than the normal legacy auto delivery and service problems in the last 12 months with Tesla, and I'm worried as a stockholder and consumer.

He's dreaming!!! Baron has a vested interest of millions in stock that he hopes he can cash in on. Musk would have to pull a rabbit out of his hat. Too many investors are selling their stake in Tesla. Consider that Cathy Wood is NOT feeling too optimistic about Tesla in that she just sold 62,151 more shares of Tesla stock to pocket another $16 million. That's in addition to a recent sale where Cathie Wood sold 85,000 Tesla shares a week ago to pocket over $22 million dollars. Also, there are reports that insiders including Kimbal Musk are preparing to sell 1.13 million shares totaling $300 million dollars. For the record, if you didn't know, approximately 3 years ago Kimbal Musk sold $102 million dollars of Tesla stock, and since then Tesla stock tanked and went to $113 dollars a share. That said, it’s fair to say that Kimbal is still not rich enough, and to say he's greedy, is an understatement . While these sales may be planned, but if history repeats itself, the sale of ALL this stock may be a sign that Tesla's gains could be short-lived. Let's see if I'm right. Only a month ago, Cathie Wood sold Tesla stock at a high point(~$250/share) and the stock fell to $217. So, if Tesla investors are driving up that value of Tesla stock, Cathie Wood along with Tesla insiders including Kimbal Musk are taking it to the bank. WARNING: Wall Street could be next. Meanwhile, all investors that were part of the 3 to 1 stock split are still down millions to billions while Tesla stock has continued to flounder for THREE years now. Also, it is rumored that Elon may have to sell billions in Tesla stock to save X(formerly Twitter) since X has lost billions in advertising revenue. X, which is now worth only $9.4 billion, is down from $19.66 billion two years ago, October 2023. And Musk paid $44 billion for Twitter. That’s a loss of a significant amount of value. Meanwhile, Meta Platforms stock is up $255 dollars a share in just the last year, while Tesla is up $43 in that same period. By the way, at the same time Cathie Wood sold Tesla stock, she bought $19 million in Meta Platforms stock in the same day. That said, there may be more upside to Meta than Tesla for now and there may still be time to consider Meta in your portfolio.

So what I got out of this conversation is, no one knows how far the market will rally after we learn who the president is going to be, and that’s the way it’s always been. So whether you’re betting that one candidate or the other is going to win, the presidency, one thing is for sure one of them is going to end up in the Oval office. So if I am a betting man, and I am not, and I wasn’t bullish about either candidate, I would probably sell everything now while the market is relatively high, but I am not that guy. So I am going with the flow, hoping, and praying, that if Vice President, Harris wins this thing, she will at least not throw the country into a chaotic, hissy, fit, and cause world markets to crater, because of the ridiculous, nonsense, that a Donald Trump presidency would bring to that office on what we already know that he’s actually done, not on the rhetoric that comes out of that, filthy, stinking, dirty, lying, mouth of his, because we’re talking about an easy choice as far as I’m concerned, about who should be in that office, and who shouldn’t be in the office, and Donald Trump, at 85 years old, definitely should not be there, as he is mentally and physically challenged, making him totally unfit deserve any government at any level, let alone the presidency, as he has the mentality of a 3 year old and the temperament, 2 year old toddler, and who the hell wants to deal with that? So the question of whether you should buy, sell or hold, comes down to to your risk tolerance, so if you believe the market is going to go up and your risk tolerance is low, then you might want to consider selling, if you think the mark is going to go down and your wrist is high, then you might want to continue to buy, and if you just don’t know what the hell to do, then you should probably think about staying put, because we know, markets will fluctuate, they always have, and they always will. So so since we know that markets go up, and there are going to go down, and you believe the market is going to continue to do what its always done, then you hold, because I’d rather be in the market, then out of the market, when the markets are uncertain, and let those who wanna speculate in the market continue to speculate in the market, and those of us who are not frighten when short term losses occur, will continue to reap the benefits of their stupidity, and take advantage of their fear, as we all know that the markets are driven by greed/fear, and I happen to like greed, but I don’t like hogs, sloping up the place, and creating even more fear and uncertainty for their own greedy selfish interests. Comphrende. Cheers 🥂

Conventional wisdom says that those liberal Dems are generally bad for the economy and the stock market because of their big government tendencies, while fiscally conservative Republicans are good. This widely accepted belief is actually fake news if you look at data going back to the end of World War II. “Stock markets do perform better under Democrats than under Republicans. That’s a well-known fact, but it does not imply cause and effect,” says Jeremy Siegel, the Russell E. Palmer Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. From 1952 through June 2020, annualized real stock market returns under Democrats have been 10.6% compared with 4.8% for Republicans.

Cathy Wood buys and sells the stock all the time. I would not take her selling literaly as a bad sign. Board members? Look at the context. It's relatively a small amount at $300 million. These are very long term holders. Even if they have a lot of confidence, father time doesn't stop moving forward. They will not hold 100% for the next ten years. They need to take some off the table. Life is short and people must live and reap some of the reward, even if you think it will 10X in 5 years. I questioned the move I made to retire. I was just coming into a phase that would financially benefit me much more. It made a difference as to how well I can live. I decided I might be dead in 2-3 years if I didn't sell out. After 40 years I was spent. Having more money and being dead is not a plan. I am just fine with less. I am in on TSLA in 7 figures. The stress of the stock the last 3 years also wore on me. I guess I chose selling my business over selling TSLA and over speeding my demise. If I was just 10 years younger, I'd still be in business and holding the stock, still knocking my brains out. Use other metrics/research to determine if it's still worth holding TSLA. But if you're very healthy, younger, have the conviction off of real research, and not holding a crazy amount relative to your net worth, another 5 years, or even more is not crazy. Most of all, never margin.
