Going no contact is one thing. It gives needed space to you both. But if you try to put on a front of “look how happy I am without you” and quickly start dating again, that only reels egos back in. It’s not from love. It’s from not wanting to lose power. Not wanting to be replaced. I don’t find that romantic at all. It’s a game and immature. I wouldn’t want someone drawn back to me because I look fine without them, and that stirred their ego. I would want it to be for much deeper and serious reasons.

We did put photos up on f/b so showing we were together but i only met his best friend once in 2 yrs. I did meet his parents went out for dinner with them but only 1 friend i met. I just felt i was hidden away. 😔

I informed his family before he could had the chance to. I didn’t give any reasons when I told his family so they were pretty shocked as well but remained super nice to me. Right after he found out, he texted me right away to confirm was it me. I blandly said yes and NC happened ever since. He must have been really pissed as he didn’t have the control over this issue after our breakup anymore.

Yes every relationship story is different. He came back 3 times. Each time was never for anything bad but left me heartbroken. I always went no contact and he always came back. He broke up with me two weeks ago after 4 years of our on and off. He did it again. We talked about this. He assured me he was not leaving again. But he did. 3rd time is worse than the 2nd time. And NOW I learn about attachment styles. And NOW I am in so much pain for my own behavior. And know he has got to feel the same. Relief yes, but he’s not a monster. He never was. This is fucking stupid. If you love someone be with them. Yea we did the set it free thing and we always came back. I don’t think he’ll ever come back because we already set each other free and always came back. There’s only so many times you can do that before he thinks that I’m just not the person for him. He’s not coming back.
