My Hot Take: This might be the best defensive draft class we've ever had. None of these guys will be all stars, but many of them have the skillset and intangibles of being very good defensive players in the nba.

He’s athletic but still can’t play defence well because he’s not very strong. Lucky for him his height and shooting ability will be enough to become a starter.

I think Tyler Kolek is amazing and I am hoping and praying the Heat draft him at 15. I am doing everything possible to create awareness about this gem to all my fellow Heat fans. Thanks for the video and hopefully next month we will see him wearing a Heat cap during the draft. 👍

I feel the same way. He would help our slow pace and has a high floor. We haven't had a homegrown point guard in such a long time. It's time pat.

@@profitcs8506 glad you see Kolek in the same light. Not sure the Heat will draft him at 15 based on Heat KZbinrs. They either want a big (Edey, Filipowski, Kelel Ware) or a guard that has incredible athletic ability, and huge wing span (Carter, Collier). But what Kolek lacks in all the athletic attributes I mentioned, he makes up for intangibles. For example, IQ, grit, leadership, selflessness which makes everyone around him better. Not only intangibles but the 3 point shot, assists and getting to the free throw line. Simply a traditional PG we have been missing since Tim Hardaway. I am not saying Kolek should start over Terry. The teams that will draft him 16-30 will be playoff teams and would have him be a PG coming off the bench from day one. That's what that Heat should do with Kolek. I think if the Heat passes on him they will regret it for a long time. Little by little I am being sold on Edey after watching his highlights. If we do draft Edey at 15, hopefully Kolek will still be around for our 43rd pick and scoop him up as well. If we leave this draft with Edey and Kolek it will be one of the greatest drafts I have seen the Heat do. Wade was impressive and Jaime/Jovic are too but those were just 1 pick per draft. This year can be 2 amazing draft picks. Anyways, can't wait to see what Spo, Pat, Andy and Micky decide to do.

@@profitcs8506 glad to hear you agree. Many Heat KZbinrs want a big (Edey, Filipowski, Ware) or an athletic guard (Collier, Carter, McCain). But what Kolek lacks in size or athleticism, he makes up for in grit, leadership, selflessness and a high bball IQ. If the Heat don't pick him at 15, I hope he stays around till the 43 pick. If so, Edey and Kolek would be an amazing one two punch. However, teams drafting from 16-30 are the best teams in basketball and they will not pass on a PG who can come off the bench from day one. I think the Heat should think the same. Start Terry and have Kolek come off the bench at least for now. I am assuming Herro will be gone of course. Can't wait to see what Pat, Spo, Micky and Andy decide to do.

@@MaxCamacho The Heat don’t need anymore one way players that’s our problem. Kolek is good on offense but not great on defense Miami could just trade for Trae Young if thats the case lol. The same goes for Donovan Mitchell. We could use Rozier in a trade he’s not a real pg if there’s anyone we should hold onto it’s Jaime and Nikola. We get out rebounded constantly, can’t ever find a decent center in free agency to save our lives, and get abused by teams with size and you want to pass up one of the several 7 footers in this draft class for another one dimensional guard lol. That Denver series wasn’t painful to watch for you? lol If we get a guard atleast let it be Devin Carter.
@MaxCamacho

@@millennial9835 lots of good points and it is hard to argue anything you say. I feel we can get a big through free agency or trade as well (Drumond for example). Especially if we trade Herro for assets. The reason why I wanted Kolek is because I want a PG to be able to faciltate the ball to not just Bam on pick and rolls but to everyone else. A swiss army knife like Kolek is hard to find. Now a swiss army knife as a #15 pick may be a stretch but we won't know till years go by. I am willing to gamble doing so especially in a draft many label as weak. Kolek's defense is not great but in a system the Heat run (zone for example) he may fit right in. Edey is also a monster pick. In the beginning I was against him since guys that size usually can't handle the speed of the NBA, can't space the flloor well, can't defend the pick and roll well and is prone to injuries (knees). But after seeing a few more videos of him he actually runs pretty good and we can benefit from him since Bam can slide to the 4. Carter is also a monster player. But don't we already have someone in him like Wright? I do like Trae Young but I am not fond of letting go of the kids (Jaime and Jovic) and a boat load of draft picks. Tyler Kolek is a facilitator. A specialty we may not be able to afford to lose. That's why I am so high on him. Both Kolek and Edey I am high on them. Unfortunately, they both may be gone at 43 if we don't select them at 15. Believe me I understand everything you are saying in terms of bigs but if we want to get to the Finals we must get through the Celtics. From what I see they are not big. If anything they play positionless similar to the way Spo had constructed our Bosh, Lebron and Wade team from 2010-2013. We will see what Pat, Spo, Andy and Micky decide to do soon enough. Oh yeah Jimmy may not be here as well.
