We don't have a video instruction yet. Is there a specific section of installation that you need help with?
@gringobandito533828 күн бұрын
So it’s for mounting your jack to the floor? I don’t see if that would work on the back of a jeep off-road without proof.
@fastlabutv377417 күн бұрын
Correct for off road conditions it needs to have the rear wheels touching a floor. Not meant for vertical mounting without a surface to sit against.

Just jack the jack up until it snaps this trash 😂

dual pins on the production units are hard to snap, also just need some tension to hold everything. haven't had a problem yet, but thanks for your concern

what is the function of the springs from the Y pipe to the muffler. Arent they welded?
@fastlabutv37742 ай бұрын
the mid pipe and muffler are separate pieces so the springs hold them together.

do you know the caster and camber gain numbers after install? how did you address bump steer if any?
@fastlabutv37743 ай бұрын
Don't know the difference in caster and camber but it is comparible to stock. The car feels great at speed but does still have some bump steer like all YXZs. We never had an issue with the bump steer, just let her rip and she's happy

Can I not use the 5th bracket and use it as a 4 point harness
@fastlabutv37746 ай бұрын
Yes absolutely you can do that. We do recommend a 5-point harness since it holds down the lap belt portion so it doesn't ride up onto your chest or stomach. This is much safer in the event of a crash or tip. We also have just the Shoulder Mounting brackets as a kit, and lap belt brackets as a kit in case the other components are not required.

Is the whole ride lower afterwards ? I am searching for a solution to lower the yxz
@fastlabutv3774 Жыл бұрын
It would be a more effective way to lower it and still have some travel. The ride height is fully adjustable of course through the spring preload collar. Raise the collar and your ride height drops, along with the up travel in your shocks. So the valving would need to be set up accordingly.

Does the frame need to be reinforced?
@fastlabutv3774 Жыл бұрын
No, everything works great as long as the frame is in good condition. Relocating the shocks (not done with this kit) does put extra load on the front section of the frame and we do recommend reinforcing with the shock relocation

How do you get to this trail? And do you d a permit… asking because of the gate…
@fastlabutv3774 Жыл бұрын
You enter on the east side of the hwy 14 just across from Dove Springs Entrance. Really easy to get to and no permit required that I know of. Please be respectful, close all gates after you go through, stay on the trails, and pack out all trash. We have to protect our riding areas or they will close them.

Just a thought, but I feel like for a bit more $$ you could offer it with a rhino liner or some type of coating that would be durable, sound dampening, and anti-skid. Just me thinking out loud, but love the concept!!

Good idea for sure. We are actually in the process of releasing Milwaukee packout mounts since the bags/coolers are available at home depot and extremely easy to use. Many people had trouble figuring out how to effectively use this layout.

Thanks for the interest Francisdebelo! We are now finishing up the final version with a much more robust hinge section and latch. Expecting about 1 month we should be releasing it. Sorry for the delays, but we refuse to release a product that isn't the best possible thing we can deliver to our customers.

Great Video!!
@nmott46482 жыл бұрын
Just got one for my 2020 X3 XRC RR. Doesn't really fit. The funnel is at such an angle that the oil just runs to the front of the funnel and spills over onto the inside of the skid plate. The stem of the funnel barely fits into the hole, it's not long enough to extend thru the skid plate like the video show, and allows the oil to run along the underside as well.
@fastlabutv37742 жыл бұрын
Hello, there was an additional subframe added in the newer models but we did take that into consideration with the most recent update. It does require a little push to get it to pop into place in the cutout of the skid plate. For it to function properly, it does have to be fully protruding through the skid plate which then allows no oil to hit the skid. I'm guessing it did not get fully pushed into place.

Agreed, we have a new design that fits with the Turbo RR subframe, so I think this is due for an update anyway. Also we loosen from the bottom but remove the plugs by hand from the side. It is much cleaner that way.

It isn’t that easy to get the belt off and on. There’s a reason why the video skips while he’s taking off the old one and then again when he starts putting back on the new one. 😀 What’s missing there is the wiggling, pulling and cursing that it takes to get those darn belts off and on.

They can be a challenge sometimes. We find rolling them off the secondary is easiest. But once you do a few times it goes much faster, muscle memory I guess!
