A VERY nice video!! It was good to see #17. She was the first EBT mike I saw run on my first visit to the EBT back n 1985.

This railway is high on my list to visit, from the preserved railways in the UK where I have not yet had a chance to go. I like this pictured industrial tank engine with the saddle tank. It sounds great too, with that mixed train on the hook. What engine from their shed will replace "Melior"?

The only operational steam locomotive on the line is now the recently restored (May 2022) 0-4-2ST Kerr Stuart 'Premier' built in 1905.

The actual spelling is 'Maerdy'. That is the proper Welsh spelling of the place where the colliery was. In the Rhondda valley of Wales. I really thought they would have used the proper spelling.

So lovely to see the tankers out on the line. Even if this was a few years back, the tankers are a lovely sight to see along with a toad van or collet guard coach. Gorgeous shots and lovely day I expect! Now the tankers either work mixed, if there is freight that is, or they sit at Totnes gathering dust. Hope to see them soon! Cheers mate.

I think this engine also took the cab from 3425- you can see where a much larger boiler used to be fitted up against the cab- and the Bulldogs had straight frames, while the Dukes had curved frames making the side plates to the cab totally wrong for the straight frames. Anyway, a wonderful series of videos of this fine engine back in Wales.

Right up my alley. You've put a big cheerful grin on my face. I can't thank you enough. Before you ask what it is about the Manor engines that makes me love them so much, my answer is this: sharp bark and shrill Swindon whistle. When I hear and see a Manor hard at work, she's music to my ears.
@kellyashfordtrains26429 ай бұрын
This is a video I just couldn't ignore. I had to watch Dinmore and Foxcote Manor hard at work. Show me a GWR Manor hard at work, and I'll show you how much I truly love her. I'm a Great Western Girl, and God's Wonderful Railway comes top of the heap for me. The Manor is my favourite type of GWR engine in general. At this moment in time, Foxcote Manor is under cover at Tyseley Shed undergoing repairs. Best of all, she'll get her lined Brunswick Green coat of paint back. From what I know of Dinmore Manor at present, she's running on the Gloucestershire, Warwickshire Railway. Thankyou for uploading this, and can I copy it pretty please? I'll make sure I credit you for it.

I had been in this loop in year 1987 it was in similar state still then except for a solitary view point structure very near the bridge and the Hut shown in clip wasn't there. No tickets to reach there and it all depended on your luck that you could capture a train in you photos. Ofcourse there was a makeshift kuccha volleyball court where locals played where at present war memorial stands.
