Homosexuality is a sin. Homosexuals should be welcome in every church but should not be in church leadership any more than an alcoholic should. Lonnie was touched by the Lord. That's pretty obvious. He led a lot of people to Christ, but he needed to get his house in order before stepping behind a pulpit. A person shouldn't teach others about the Word while living a lifestyle contrary to it.

I laughed AND cried. What a wonderful and touching message. ❤ It brings to mind the scripture that says: "For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence." 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 How good God is to use those who are weak and foolish! That includes me! ❤

Healing is still available today. There was a girl in a wheel chair, young man with PTSD and Uncle with chronic back pain. Not once did anyone pray or command healing. By whose stripes, you were healed (1 Peter 2:24b).

No gifts,, just a bunch of seekers and none of us found,, a bunch of big fat egos, Maybe this next time will be different,, we will see.

Many of my husband's family have lived in the Steinbach area and many years ago we pastored a church in Boissevain. We now live in Niagara Falls. I especially loved the special about the best joke and I did not grow up Mennonite, but I did know the expression "vershluked" (spelling?) I laughed so hard.
