After receiving the Holy Spirit, He began leading and teaching me. When I read about God commanding all of Jericho to be completely destroyed, men,women,children, babies, and animals I was confused and upset. I asked Him why. He answered me with a dream. I love animals. I dreamed of animals being hurt all around me. I was grabbing hurting dogs and trying to get them help. But more hurt animals came. People were evil and torturing them faster than I could help. I fell to the ground with my load of pets in my arms sobbing. I screamed as loud as I could as an anger I had never ever felt filled me and the wrath I felt shook my whole being. I yelled,” If I had the power I would take all you evil people and do to you what you are doing to these poor animals!” I awoke while my wrath was still in me. I got out of bed and fell to my knees. I thanked the Lord for answering my question. I told Him that I understood a lot better than I did, but was sure that my worst wrath was nowhere near the consuming fire of His. I knew He was justified in His wrath and that the Lion of Judah , Himself God, had not turned into a pushy cat because of grace. He killed Ananias and Sapphira for lying and fear fell upon the whole church. Since we cannot understand God’s thought or ways, neither can we comprehend that He who is perfect love allows His people to suffer and be killed for His name. My understanding is that what is beyond the grave is so much greater and worthy of all we may be asked to suffer here. Thank you for this lesson. I will share it everywhere.
