I'm sorry to hear of the cancer progress :( I'm investigating diets and therapies for a close friend with gastric cancer (~2.5 months after sub-total gastrectomy 3/4ths of stomach removed), he has metastasis now on his transverse colon, and constant and increasing pains doesn't let him recover his strength and weight (he's currently under 45kg at ~177cm height). I found that keto diet can be a powerful tool for many different aspects from a component of a cancer therapy (Press-Pulse by Dr. Seyfried - you might want to research it), to being useful for cancer cachexia, to actually improving efficiency and recovery after chemotherapy. But the main question before that is, can a patient gain weight while on a keto diet? I know that without the carbs/insulin spikes it's easier to satiate hunger and that what helps many (incl. me) to stop overeating while on keto. So if that's the only obstacle is it enough one to be conscious and pedantic about the amount of calories they eat, and ensure good surplus to ensure weight-gain? As I understand fats are mostly processed in the guts anyway, so with little (or no) stomach left it makes sense to me to focus more on fats even if you're not aiming at ketosis. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry to hear about this, too many times, our systems don't give a rats a**. Fight the good fight, it's a serious thing the stomach, and too many doctors really don't take it seriously.

I wonder if RFK JR. Know a about this situation...I'm sure if he did he'd meet with you to hear Jewell's story and try to change it....and President elect Trump...he did come up with the right to try law when he was in office...I'd bet he'd want to take it a step further...Jewell's Law may be in the near future so at least she'll live on through helping others by raising awarenesd...I'm so sorry for the loss of your beautiful, sweet daughter....I'm sure you're very proud of her😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤

My sister died of this she was 67 but it is sad that this child went through this so young , it is very hard to watch them suffer as their time gets closer,as soon as you feel your stomach bothering you get started to find out what is happening with you my sister found out during COVID and could not get treatment soon everything shut down that cause many people to get no treatment for a year and every minute it gets worse lots of people with stage ones cancer fast forward them to stage four when it is too late and when they get started again you have to wait for months for help .They were good people so god don't want them to punish in this world they are with god now . I never heal from this and I know how you felt as mother , my love from Canada 🙏🏼🇨🇦🌹

My husband was diagnosed with this at the end of July '23. He had the stents put in the biliary tree and we signed him out of hospital and refused to go to Hospice as was expected. He's still alive today but only through alternative treatments. Neither of us had the covid vaccine but have both had issues we'd never had before since the roll out.
Cancer also runs in our family. 3 have passed away, .and 2 are survivors. I am getting ready to do the genetic testing .

So easy to say seek another doctor if your doctor gets offended or acts like you shouldn't ask the hard questons. if you have cancer you want to be treated ASAP, and finding another doctor that will treat you is soon will be hard to impossible, especially in the current health service care situation we live in now. Doctors, health care, hospitals are too full, and don't react quickly... if you have aggressive cancer you want treatment asap, not to get worse... it's soo frustrating...

May I ask where you live? I am in the States and very surprised that you had a surgeon willing to take out your stomach and portions of other organs. Where I live if the cancer has spread from the stomach they won't do surgery. Are you on a J-tube now? Thanks for sharing your journey! I wish you many blessings ❤🙏🏼
