Fun fact: more photographs exist that depict this annual event than any other annual event on the planet. Also you misspelled "green chile burger". In NM, _chile_ and _chili_ are *NOT* the same thing. A "chili burger" is one covered in Texas style chili con carne beans (yuck!). Remember: *chile* = the berry of _Capsicum annuum_ plant; *chili* = a tomato-based meat dish enjoyed in Texas; *chilly* = cool to cold weather. Otherwise, nice shooting. I was there for the eclipse; surreal experience for sure!

A lot of what you ordered is either appetizers, contemporary cuisine, or fast food. Very little of what you had was "traditional Greek food". Mykonos-Santorini-Athens, yes, the usual American circuit. Athens doesn't have good historic preservation, meanwhile you bypassed Syros, an entire neoclassical 19th century city. Mykonos is nothing special; meanwhile 85% of the country has a far more scenic landscapes/coastline than Mykonos. Mykonos just happens to be known to Americans for no good reason. It's like if all Japanese tourists coming to America were only interested in the Jersey Shore, and didn't bother to look up Hawaii, New Orleans, or Yosemite.

I think you have to enter with the tour at that time but can go on your own after entry. I believe once you pay for the pass everything gets deducted and includes all the tours you just have to make separate reservations for a few activities

Dude, you have done what I, as a Native New Mexican, have always dreamed of doing and I love that you shared it. Not only THAT, but it LOOKS like you flew the "box". That is something that even I feel is rare. I was born in Albuquerque, and up until middle school, I lived in ABQ. Then we moved out to Rio Rancho. (my grandparents always lived in Bernalillo my whole life (and still, to this day), so Bernalillo was my permanent home). Not many pilots achieve (or maybe attempt) the Box, or at least they choose to not utilize the box, and they will fly out to Rio Rancho, or Bernalillo. This is my experience literally growing up in this culture. (I hate that I even feel the need to clarify this). I have a library of memories of balloons landing in my grandparents back yard, or out in the mesa's of Rio Rancho, and chase vehicles with people riding in the beds of pickup trucks chasing down balloons that were heading north, ready to catch them when they landed. It was illegal to ride in the back of a pickup truck, EXCEPT during the balloon fiesta season. It was written into the law lmao. Good memories all around. I remember learning about hot air balloons and the physics and the particulars of them. We took field trips to the balloon fiesta, and we learned the physics of balloons and how they worked, and we even created miniature hot air balloons out of candles as the fuel source, and wax paper as the balloon media. We literally created mini hot air balloons in middle school, and lit candles under wax paper to teach us children about the principals of thermal dynamics. I distinctly remember in middle school, being taught about all of these physics, about how balloons work, and then being challenged as a GRADED project, to make a balloon out of wax paper and a tea candle. The concept was excellent, but looking back now, I don't understand how we did this safely. Us middle schoolers were tasked with creating mini hot air balloons. We did. The balloons were wire, and the fuel was tea candles. We literally went out to the school soccer or football field, with our middle school kid creations and we put a candle in the balloon basket, the same place where the burner would be, and sent them into the atmosphere unguided and unmanned. Ready to set something on fire if the atmosphere didn't put out the fire first lmao... It worked most of the time, but I wonder how the modern world would handle it these days.
