ah i have fond memories of this game, used to play it in net cafes with friends back in high school about 20years ago (I'm 37 now ^^). we would play 5v5 and our old PCs would lag so hard we would have 5 fps. i remember 2 weird cheats AI used to do. 1. black lotus of china army could hack while running !! 2. USA rocket launcher infantry would lock on to you and would have infinite range. unless you killed it, it would keep shooting at you even if you out ranged it. it was dumb. Glad to see ppl still playing this good old gem.

I also found a small glitch: while playing in Polish language, in Barrockstadt just after you tow the train to winding up station; if you try to talk to Oscar about the "Mission" topic (second one) they just talk in pure silence and there is no voice or subtiltes so you don't know what's going on.

Hi. Yes, this is an unfortunate bug, which seems to be triggered by using the Bathysphere before completing Cohen's Masterpiece. I got trapped in the metal bars of the pedestrian area where the fountain is, I started trying to get in, and I don't know how the game let me in, then I got out again, but the game was not programmed for the metal bars to be there again. Then the exit animation had been blocked and it didn't let me do anything at all, you can't move Jade or open the menu, you see the pig doing the animations when it's still 😂. This has happened to me on Ps2, in the part of the story in which you enter the IRIS barracks for the first time, and they send you the mission to go to the factory.

What about not being able to access the nursery tower. It still thinks the rubble is their in the past. I think I solved it before but don't remember what I did.

Hi, I replayed that in 2023 and recorded some bugs (maybe even the tower one), but there is so much recorded material that I would need hours to get through it. I will reply in the future to this comment, when the new video is out :)

That attack/defense at 6:10 is something that was weirde feature from original. Not sure about the plane but for some reason it always dropped bombs before arriving selected target so solution was to adjust aiming. Battleships also had inaccuracy which got worse with range. Because it was so simple to predict, you could attack ground before target and it usually overshot hit. Computer units ofter begun to spin as they had equal numbers of priority targets so they did not know where to go as each hit resetted it's priority.

Hi. Almost 10 years passed between playing the originals and this, so I don't remember anymore, but I don't doubt you are right :). I loved how they stayed true to the originals (and kept all the things you could exploit :), but some things should have been fixed: like the submarine spawn points and the annoying suicidal AI ...

Hi, the pathing issues are indeed extremely frustrating, because the game is hard already, and constant babysitting of units is tiring (they definitely should have improved that area) ... but, I must also admit, that I otherwise enjoyed it a lot :)

There are indeed mods in the Workshop (like CFE Patch Redux), but on my first playthrough I wanted to see how good the remaster is. Will probably play with mods next time, because they look very promising ...

I can't for the life of me recreate the ledge inversion glitch. I'm on GOG version 2.0.0.4 and tried it with various graphical settings (including with V-sync off and on as I know that can make the biggest change) but it never happens.

@@R33D3M33RIt seems to me like your point about using a gamepad is spot on. I ended up buying the Steam version today as it was on sale and I prefer to own all my games on one launcher. Using keyboard, I couldn't get it to work, but using gamepad, it worked as expected. The thing is, I can achieve it way more efficiently if I hold shift (walk) and then pulling back on the left stick (or left or right if I want to rotate direction). Thanks for the help, I greatly appreciate it.

Hi. Do you have any mods installed? Is this the only weapon for which this happens? There is a unofficial patch named Randomguy7's Fix Compilation - try to install it and see how it goes.

@@R33D3M33R Howdy friend. This is the first time I'm playing this videogame so, I started playing in Trauma and this bug started appearing on Atrium Complex the first time I grabbed the stakegun. It seems that only happens with this weapon so far. I don't have any mods installed and I try to look for the one you suggest.

Hi, V-Sync doesn't solve the problem if your monitor refresh rate is above 60 Hz. Set the monitor refresh rate in Display > Advanced Display to 60Hz and try again. Good luck! :)

@@damiens4601 I did play on 120 FPS limit and the FPS does affect physics in this game, but I did check some ancient speedruns on speedrun.com and TheVoid (www.speedrun.com/users/TheVoid?view=levels) managed to jump through on low FPS. Did you maybe try jumping into the bars sideways?

Something many do not know is that the first round of copies sent out on launch had a bugged minotaur fight in which there was no screen flashes to prompt you for the dagger QTE. We had to just feel out the timing through trial and error.

I'm getting this ghosting affect with any movement, and I don't know how to fix it. When I play the Classic version I don't get that. But with the Enhanced edition I do.

Hi. Many people (included me) have this problem because of the Direct3D renderer. To fix it, go to the Options menu and in the Video tab click on Resolution > Driver and change the Direct3D driver to Vulkan. I hope it works for you too.
