This is not a new idea. My dad built a house like this in the late 1980s. Built entirety out of used tires, adobe clay, and crushed up beer cans.

tiny and comfort are not even in the same ballpark. I'm not going to go into details but everybody can do the math...it's a good enough tiny house( not the best ) but comfortable???? NOOOOOOO. just edit the title and it will have the same views still.

It’s important to understand these concepts by definition. This is close to vegan communism. Which, in its inception is utopia. They still rely on money. I didn’t see any livestock so I’m really hoping they’re all vegan. She speaks about being anti capitalist at the end but again the words need to be said. So people understand the west (capitalism) and well, China is trying (socialism or pre communism)

Great home. Request - zoom out. It was hard to understand the home because it was a combination of drone views above, the guy at the table, and extreme close ups of objects. Would have liked to tour the rooms.

There are not a lot of details - esp. because he can't find the right English words to translate from German - no fault/ judgement - I'll just have to figure things out ❤. The floor is absolutely genious! He uses one of those suction/ vacuum cups to grab the sections of the floor, to uncover his storage!!! So Cool!!!❤

I'm crying watching this. I went to Hawthorne Valley Rudolph Steiner school in NY and my father's drinking led to us having to leave and then growing up has been one series of unfortunate events and now in my 50's and look back and am so incredibly sad at what my life could have been. I yearn so much for what never was. I'm trying to get back to what is good and right for the world as a whole. This is it. My heart sings when I see it. Thank you to all the people that continue to live right and do right by the Earth🌻

I see people commenting on the use of tires in the walls: At least it's a very good use for something that would otherwise be nasty garbage? And I can't imagine those tires being toxic, or? Any comments from the house builders? They also could have used bags of sand instead....Personally i think you just feel and breathe in the mud/claywalls and it feels good from what I can see... Anyway feels like great intention people and project and it definitely looks great.

solar orientation is important but 'passive solar' doesn't really work. you are better off making an airtight assembly with super insulation and mechanical ventilation. thankfully these are not 'earth ships' like what most people know (houses dug into hills using toxic tires to construct retaining walls). and wood burning stoves are responsible for at least 30% of air pollution if not more in areas where they are even only uncommon. i don't see how giving yourself and your neighbors an increased risk of cancer and cardiorespiratory diseases is healthy or responsible. and it's frankly completely incorrect that the original earthship design works in every country; it only sort of works in very specific environments and even then it doesn't actually work. the cost of mechanical ventilation is actually quite small, and comes with many benefits, such as improved indoor air quality. you can build an airtight and superinsulated structure with the same rammed earth walls if you like, and insulate the exterior with wood fiber insulation.

I was confused to see this video and calling this house an “earthship”…. As it was originally named byMichael Reynolds in New Mexico, was it not? There are good things and not so good things about most new architectural creations.I lived in one for 7 years.most of the tire construction and aluminum cans are co Reed in adobe mud
