Hey what kind of Mac do you have? I have a 2019 I Mac Pro that is a nightmare with Ventura, that I just updated to a few months ago. I read a lot of forums that Sequoia works great on the intel machines. any thoughts?

@@RayyMusik 3rd wave isnt multitimral and I think the M has its own sound. I absolutely loved my old microwave wich I used back in the 90s together with a MIDI retrofitted PPG wave 2.2, Prophet VS and an Osc Oscar. I think I can get about the same gritty metallic vibe and fonky "analogue" sounds with the 3rd wave and the Waldorf M today, ☺️.

the more I play it the more I think its my best pure analog synth - plus you get the vintage magic and history plus its a Tom Oberheim, Marcus Ryle and (RIP) Dave Smith tribute to buy it. But you should program it yourself and maybe add a nice analog effect here and there. It's easy - lots of sweetspots. Like always - check it out intensively before buying if its really what you need or want - it is still a lot of money but IMO worth it.
@Donetur6 ай бұрын
@@studentsmusicI really want to have one. It is a bit out of my range at the moment, here in my country it costs like usd6200, but in the future it may be possible to get it. I need to save some money tho, maybe I could afford the desktop version but I think having the keyboard is nicer. I own a Prophet 10 rev 4 which I love, and I think this would be a great partner for my synth and a great addition to my studio :) actually I have pending compositions/ideas to develop waiting for this synth.

Magnificent use of hardware in multiple formats and software. You’ll never have so much fun with plug ins and VSTs alone.
@studentsmusic9 ай бұрын
exactly ... plus having tons of VSTs does hinder you from knowing your instruments. It's just too much. Better to take one high end hardware instrument and learn it over the time, then you know what you´re doing and its much more fun than ending up with millions of presets.

I bought an electric blue, the output module and the CV module. Never use the modules because the internal options are very good and honestly the CV inputs on the Voyager can only handle pedal or very slow LFO control signals. Kinda disappointing as it isn't a very useful semimodular. Nor does it have the nasally tone of the MiniMoog. It is however ALL MINE.
