For 4 yrs I had to go to confession every time I got drunk …so at least once a week or twice..a new Priest had been placed in our Parrish so seeing me in his Confessional line for the 3rd time since he’s been there I saw him drop to his knees at the altar & I thought “oh he’s going to Padre’ Pio me!” I could FEEL his anxiety in the confessional and when I began my confession with Bless me Father I got drunk again….” He shook when he said “No! No more you have to go to AA or treatment but you can’t keep repeating this grave sin”….I did …just celebrated 2yrs sober ✝️

Springfield wife and mom here- I love watching the KZbin videos vs just listening on Spotify. My teenage sons really enjoy you guys as well. You crack us up at times. Not only is your content great, you all are truly showing young men a different side to the priesthood they may not have seen before. I believe THIS will be one of the many ways to help increase vocations to the priesthood. Just being yourselves and proclaiming the truth without the fluff is what our young people want to hear and me too! They are craving tradition in our parish, school, youth group, and want to cut out the beating around the bush talks they so often hear..and yall are doing just that. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

Coincidence that you talked about the Marian days and the Vietnamese community. As a Vietnamese myself, it was great to hear.

Another difficult with the International Priests is that people can’t understand them because of their accent.

This is my second episode of listening to the podcast! This truely reminds my of the wonderful couple of years being a diocesan seminarian brother of fathers pierano, Straus, and Kirchner; having great conversations and times with y’all! Unfortunately, if I had remained in the seminary, I would have likely been ordained this past spring

When I first saw "not the Last Supper," my first thought was, "Oh boy, Fr Kelly is not going to like this."

Fan from Springfield here! Thanks for taking time out of all of y'alls busy schedules to make something that will strengthen others in their lives, and for living your vocations boldy. This sort of content is to catholics, what spinach is to popeye 😂

Any recommendations for a latin learning app?

When I’ve traveled internationally and attended Mass in Latin, it’s the exact same Mass that I go to at home (also in Latin.) The only thing I can’t understand is the homily. Much more unifying than Masses in many different languages, which causes a separation! When we attend Mass in Latin, we are not only unified with Catholics on earth (the Church Militant), but we are also unified with the Church Suffering and the Church Triumphant (our ancestors.)

I was raised "Industrial Strength Catholic "! The very first Anti-Semetic remark I ever heard came from a Felician nun. She calked Jews Christ killers ! This happened in the , A nun asked us to name a Christmas carol . I said Away in a Manger . We don't sing that sing. Why not ? I asked . Because Martin Luther wrote that song. Then I found out my Jesuit trained fathers dad, my Grandfather converted so he could marry my Catholic Grandmother! I left the Catholic church many years ago ,thank God! " If men could become pregnant, ABORTION would be a SACRAMENT! " Most religions Christian, Jewish and Muslim are SEXIST! I took the good and left the rest ! RECOVERING CATHOLIC!

I prefer the Iroquois Tribe. If the WARRIORS wanted to go to WAR they had to petition the Council of Elder Women/ the Grandmothers ! We bring life into this world. We decide when it leaves! "

Y'all did not consider how those who control AI can decide how the AI is censored, or calibrated to a certain level of awareness as to the user's "sensitivity" to certain issues. Being unable to answer what a women is to be inclusive for example.
