Haha nice. I went to Towson. never knew they were hosting matchups like this back in the day 🤣☠️ I would have definitely liked to have seen high level ball of that era as opposed to today.

Did the Friars play Simon Gratz that year? I saw the Martin Luther King Jaguars when they were freshmen.

The #33 on white looks like he could be something special. Anyone know if he kept playing post-high school? 😁

I heard he made the crazy decision to skip college and go straight to the NBA. I heard he played a few seasons for the Lakers, but other than that, I didn't hear too much about what became of him.

I used to watch St. Anthony at tournament in Trenton just to watch coach Hurley in action. I don’t care what other coaches records are, he’s the greatest HS coach ever. You could hear his voice in a crowd of thousands. every time a player made a mistake he’d get pulled and coach Hurley would correct the player on the spot. the team played as one, swarming defense and effortless and instant transition to a fast break offense. so well coached.

If anyone has more videos of DHS 1992-1997 games please send them to me or pin me on them. My children would love to see their father (RIP) play. Seeing this video today for the first time really moved us.

What hurt Rodrick Rhodes at the next level was he wasn't the best outside shooter in the world. Probably better at UNC than Kentucky. With the exception of the outside shot may have been better than Ron Mercer, who was excellent.
