Saw Steve in Tommy, he was outstanding, except when he was catatonic, looked a bit weird. I asked him after the show if he had any intention to do any more "theater", he quickly cut me off and said, nope, this is a fluke. I then ran into him again when the first star war prequel movie came out at the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. I was in line and he was walking by, perhaps to get in line? I shouted, Tommy can you hear me? His eyes bulged out and he was like, WTF? haha, good memories.

The only thing I know about this show is that faith no more were in it once.

So 32 years ago - back in the Summer of 1992 - after my freshman year at Florida State, me and a buddy drive from Jacksonville FL to NYC (I am originally from the Hudson Valley and he has an ex that lived in northern NJ). We visit NYC for a week. One day (July 29, 1992) we are doing some touristy things and we get off the subway. After a walking a block or so we come across this long line of kids our age. We stopped to ask them what they were doing. They said it's "..something for MTV and Sonic Youth was playing..." we decided to wait in line and lo and behold, we got in. I have no idea what made me search for this video today, but this is the first time I have seen this. I’m in the crowd dancing and shown several times on screen (one specific time is at the 36:45 mark over Steve’s right shoulder, a few rows back in the garnet FSU hat). I’ve told my now college-age daughter several times about “the day I snuck on to an MTV show where Sonic Youth was playing.” Thanks Steve for uploading this video.
